I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

My first post on this forum. Im not even sure if im doing it right (how exciting)

Anyway, I reckon i read every single post under this topic before I ordered my TIGUAN. I ordered 162tsi with DAP last month (I recon 9 month wait for R-line is a joke, but worth it)...

So far I know that my Tiguan is supposed to be at the dealer (Sydney) end of July and I should be picking it up roughly 10-12 days later... I dont know when the car is going to be built. So whats it going to be MY17 or MY18? Help!

Welcome aboard, congrats on the purchase!

I take it you ordered an R-Line with DAP, did you get the panoramic sunroof? what colour did you decide on?

Could go either way whether it'll be MY17 or MY18. The change over happens week 22, only 2 weeks away. If the dealer is getting it late July work back about 9 weeks from there and that'll be roughly when it's built which is very soon. All hypothesising at this point. Ask for a Nadcon screenshot as that have the dates you need to work it all out. They'll know if it'll be MY17 or MY18.

Received confirmation from the dealer mine is sitting at Bremerhaven waiting on a ship. Any day now and it'll be on its way, received my 'I'm built' email 18 days ago now, but who's counting

Unfortunately I didn't get an R-line pack or sunroof, as I couldnt wait that long. I started sorting out my finances and looking for a new car at begining of last year, so if I had to wait another 9 months I would have gonne crazy. However, I'll talk to my dealer again and see if 9 months can be reduced to say 6...

Do you know when "NADCON" becomes available? After placing an order or at later stages?

I have been "stoking" you and a few other guys on here. All I can say is lucky you! Hope its 37-38 day trip for your Tiguan... good luck!

Congrats mate. If you are expecting your Tiggy in July then your nadcon should be available... I am expecting my fully loaded rline early July. Got my build complete email about 14-15 days ago. Still no notification that it is ready for shipping though my nadcon says it should already be ready and waiting. Anyone get there VIN yet?

Hey Chocolate, VIN is available, they're going to send it through with tracking information once it's on a ship so haven't pushed, they're following there process.

Took my Tiggy stalking to a whole new level last night, was checking out ship tracking and satellite photos of Bremerhaven. Don't know if anyone else has looked but the area where cars wait to board ships is massive. Last night there were 4 vehicle carrier ships all docked loading up. There is a web cam as well you can kind of see what's going on, was watching one of the ships dock (Mignon) which I hope will have my Tiggy on once it leaves tomorrow. Very interesting stuff and was amazed at the scale of the operation, they ship a LOT of cars out there. One thing the webcam did reveal was a multi level car park the satellite photos don't show, the mind boggles how many cars get processed each week at the port.

Yup, my fully loaded Rline is on it! The ship docked just after 4pm so I can't track where it is up to anymore but who cares....It's in the country!

I'm waiting on a diesel R Line with DAP. Dealership (Mascot VW) has said about two weeks till delivery but hoping it will be sooner.

Am going to look into upgrading the speakers and adding traffic to the SatNav I think.

My 162tsi r line week 17, off the production line and vehicle details are available but dispatch fields on the NADCON screenshot from the dealer are blank. Put it on a ship already!!!

Haven't driven yet. Have to beg to the Minister for War and Finance

Dealer stuffed up and put on the small front plate. It'll be fixed this week.

Oh, and Buddy's had a big day.

I noticed you didn't got with the sunroof, did you get the DAP as well? Also when did you order your car and how much did you pay for it? I ordered mine (with all 3 options) from the same dealer in mid Nov 2016 but I'm still waiting.
