Had been speaking with the dealer earlier today and sadly mine hasn't shipped yet ah well a couple of ships leaving over the next few days so won't be long. They're getting me the VIN at least so I can start checking myself.

From what l can see on list our friend gave me, from start of production to landing in Melb is about 9weeks. Mine starting production week 32 and landing in Melb week 41.

Yes ours are the same start and landing. oct9-15 arriving Melbourne. Hopefully we will have them late Oct.

Anyone have any ideas how to track vessel in terms of estimated docking in Australia. I have been able to track the current locations of course, but keen to get a sense when the vessel arrives in Australia. Thanks

I don't understand how they can pass on the additional costs? You agreed to a price based on what they believed they could deliver (MY17). If it is not within your control that they can't deliver an MY17 and it's not you requesting the change to an MY18, I would be clear that this is their problem not yours and the contract price still stands.
If they have delayed in the delivery I would ask them what they are offering you for the inconvenience and further delay? Surely your inconvenience and their additional costs would balance each other out.
Don't be bullied I don't think legally they can ask for more $$$.

My first post on this forum. Im not even sure if im doing it right (how exciting)

Anyway, I reckon i read every single post under this topic before I ordered my TIGUAN. I ordered 162tsi with DAP last month (I recon 9 month wait for R-line is a joke, but worth it)...

So far I know that my Tiguan is supposed to be at the dealer (Sydney) end of July and I should be picking it up roughly 10-12 days later... I dont know when the car is going to be built. So whats it going to be MY17 or MY18? Help!
