Got an email from the dealer today. Car arrives at the dealership this afternoon and pick up Friday lunchtime.

Good stuff, enjoy the new car!

Once you have received your VIN number, how can you track it's shipment to Australia? My dealer does not have access to Nadcon.

Indeed, your week 16 build yeah? mine is 17

I'm on Tiggy watch every time on the road (wife is sick of it), don't see a lot of the new model, saw my first R-line yesterday close to work, but it took off like a turpentine cat so not much to ogle unfortunately. Did look very nice on the road

I have only seen 1 white rline, but plenty of normal ones.

It was a grey one I saw on Sth Gippsland Hwy that then turned down Abbotts Rd in Dandenong South. Will be keeping an eye out for a white one now VWVY

port to port to Fremantle is going to be about 34/35 days (its usually 39 to Melbourne where I am. You car can typically take up to 15 days to get from the factrory and onto a boat. Sometimes less. So you can assume your car will be built around June 30 to July 7 if that date into Fremantle is correct.

You are still a few weeks from knowing the VIN- maybe your dealer can give you that in early June.

Ah and there is where we could have a problem, as the local dealer wants me to give my car up in late May, based on an original delivery promise of mid July. I think unless they can confirm the vin and get me something more concrete in late May, i am going to try and keep hold of my own car until my new one is at least built.

Yeah they are also a Hyundai dealer and i don't fancy one of those for several months.

i think you have the solution. You retain your car until you have a VIN and departure date from Bremerhaven. Once you know that any delays will be relatively minor an extra day or two greeting from zfremantle to the dealer- that sort of thing

Must say how exciting, car looks mint. Don't know if anyone else has done it but have been considering debadging mine, the Tiguan, 2.0 TSI and 4 motion badges. Would make it very clean from the rear.
