DLA cannot be enabled on Oz Tiguans, both Kamold and myself have been down this road on my car. The reason is the Tiguan has two different headlight assemblies and the assembly required was never fitted to our cars. HBA can be enabled but that is simply on and off high beam and no shading as shown in the video. The Australian car also only has an 18 watt high beam against 40 watts of the active headlight car and the high beam lacks penetration out on the open road which is one reason I am fitting driving lights to mine. The Xenons in my Superb were vastly better IMHO on the open road.

I wouldn't assume this. Allspace is a brand new model so they don't need a special variant to attract new sales. I'd guess that the Allspace would only get a limited release model in a couple of years (if it ever does happen). Seven seaters are a separate class and there's definitely a lot less choice in the market.Originally posted by Shaqattack View PostAlso i assume the allspace will aslo have a Wolfsburg edition at the same time?

I will definitely look into turning my 20’ suzuka wheels black at some point.

I need to get my allspace first 😆

I’m still bitterly disappointed VW have not implemented the Apple CarPlay feature to display nav directions in the instrument cluster or HUD... would’ve been a bit more excited about the HUD if that was working.Originally posted by Shaqattack View PostThe hud will be the flap screen available overseas in the sel and sel premium trims. I dont see the need for it when you have the active info display.

Yes its an addition but i am wondering if it genuinely is a useful addition.Tiguan Highline 162TSI | Indium Grey | DAP | MY18

I know what you mean. Having the navigation on the HUD is really useful but it only works with the built in Nav and I use Apple Navigation more as I find it much quicker and easier to use.Originally posted by spacemannz View PostI’m still bitterly disappointed VW have not implemented the Apple CarPlay feature to display nav directions in the instrument cluster or HUD... would’ve been a bit more excited about the HUD if that was working.

I do find the HUD useful to show your speed and especially with traffic sign recognition turned on it shows a full colour image of the speed signs so it is really easy to tell how fast you should be going.

It also shows your set speed when you have the Adaptive Cruise Control turned on and is much easier to see there than the small strip down the bottom of the AID. This is especially useful if you need to constantly change your set speed like you do on Auckland motorways!

It may not be the best implementation of a HUD but I do find it useful and glad mine came with it.

I read somewhere on this forum that it's an Apple restriction to limit the CarPlay to main displays and not extending it to secondary displays so I don't think VW to be blamed here.Originally posted by spacemannz View PostI’m still bitterly disappointed VW have not implemented the Apple CarPlay feature to display nav directions in the instrument cluster or HUD... would’ve been a bit more excited about the HUD if that was working.2017 Tiguan Highline 162TSI DAP, Sunroof, Black

Is this sometime that we could buy the bulb unit from overseas and just swap them out? Or would it be the whole headlight unit inc controller etc..Originally posted by Ozsko View PostDLA cannot be enabled on Oz Tiguans, both Kamold and myself have been down this road on my car. I’d love a brighter high beam. I also remember a member here mentioning they were trying to lift there low beam as they were finding it wasn’t illuminating as far forward as they had hoped. Never heard back how they went with that

 MY18.5 or MY19 - Difference ? Should I Wait ?

Just got back from my dealer. I had my order for a 162TSI R-Line + DAP cancelled. I’m now looking at getting the Wolfsburg Edition. Dealer said it is just 500 units available Australiawide. Obviously I wont be getting much discount from this if not none at all but still super excited!

Did you cancel a MY18.5 order to get an MY19 ?Originally posted by Ryngalf View PostJust got back from my dealer. I had my order for a 162TSI R-Line + DAP cancelled. Once you sign the agreement, I didn't think you could cancel the order without incurring a large penalty ?

Yep, that’s what I did. They actually worked hard to get my initial request as had to do a 5-way swap between dealers but they said it’s Ok if I really want to cancel and they’ll do me the favour. I just said I really appreciate it. I think the fact that the news only came in 2 days ago helped my case and my car is still in production with ETA September. I have asked them to reserve a Wolfsburg for me as dealers may only get x2 each and I would hate to miss out.Originally posted by FastMitch View PostDid you cancel a MY18.5 order to get an MY19 ?
