Looks like a demo car so it’s a great buy for $50k! I would be more worried if it was brand new MY17. You do need to factor in it’s a 2 yr old car so the depreciation looks right for the price.

      I think it’s a fair price.

Most of the 2017 build cars should be on as demos now to clear the stock.

5 years warranty is a decent bonus. I think that’s worth $2-3k. Plus that’ll be a full factory warranty not just an aftermarket insurance policy with limits and exclusions.

      • I’m in the rather unique position of previously owning a MY18.5 162 R-line which was written off, and I’m now the proud owner of an MY19 162. Key differences from my perspective:
-electric front passengers seat (a godsend)
-In sport mode the steering weight is far less heavy, which I appreciate
-the maximum hands off steering wheel time for lane keep assist appears to have decreased from 45s to 30s (bummer!)
-it might just be me but I reckon the adaptive dampers are more effective/softer than before - seems much more pleasant in its harshest sport mode.

Yup agreed on those little extras and differences which makes it a better car! I like the sound of the softer dampers....

I think these are probably just tweaks to the settings which may be available via adaption in VCDS.

I'm pretty sure they would be able to be set, however just would need to find out which setting to use.

Is that 30s until Emergency Assist kicks in and brings the car to a halt?

                • 10s before the first ‘put your hands on the wheel’ beep, 30s until the constant alarm goes off, probably a few more seconds until it hits the brakes a couple of times to remind you.

This is going to be a record for longest wait for a Tiguan! Are you sure if you sign on the line that they are going to deliver on this?

It looks like a very good price. I’m guessing that it’s an early 2019 build car??

                        • Mate what can I do. Got fudged over by the first dealer. Here's hoping the new ones are more honest.

I am not too fussed by the wait as I have an SUV which drives fine and will sell it when the new one arrives.

It is a 2019 Build and 2019 Plate with the new 2019 AID.

I will not know until Jan whether the 5 Year warranty will also include 5 Years roadside assist (currently 3 years)

Long sad story of an incompetent dealer either not ordering the car or allocating to someone else. Fastmitch rang to arrange pick-up and then car was no longer available. The dealer then wanted to go back on the deal, etc, etc. General bad experience.

OMG that’s terrible service! If we were in USA, that dealer would have been sued for damages!
