Factory tint is pretty poor and very green, we had "darkest legal" from the dealership but it's not really that dark and may vary depending on dealer (I am sure they out the cheapest tint on when you do it through them).

I'd recommend getting it done with ceramic to your states darkest (should be 20 around the back and 35 up front).

We're having it redone with someone else as it doesn't heat shield at all and they are removing the dealership tint first.

I thought the privacy glass is not a film but tinted into the glass (hence it can’t be removed)?

Or are you referring to dealer tinted windows?

Dealer tint that was applied over the top.

Also, non Wolfsburg so standard green looking glass from VW in mine.

Depends, expect anywhere from $250 (for cheap low heat resistant tint)

Up to around $400+ish for a good ceramic tint.

Ah ok. Looks like the tint film from dealer is greenish then. I would recommend the 3M range of tint as they are more black than green tinge.

One aspect that I came across when looking for engine specs is that the MY19 engine appears to have quite a few improvements, eg port and direct injection, more variable cam timing/lift, new faster warm-up, etc. These changes appear to be driven by the new emissions testing.

Does anyone know for sure? Maybe a list of improvements? Also I assume that the changes apply to both Tiguan and Allspace.
