Maps update

I installed version P68_N60S5MIBH3_ROW_NT a couple of months ago before the current version was released and TMC works fine for me.

So can you place please on a drop box share so we can get access to it ... Other wise can give you access to mine.

What happened to the APAC HERE Maps site? Am I the only one that gets a new site without Asia Pacific Maps for Volkswagen? Have they discontinued maps for VW?

That's the US Site..... I rang here and was advised they will only be available through VW.

Yeah & the only other regions are Canada & Mexico.

Ended up there after starting at a page linked to in this thread, so not sure if it's right..

I ordered a new Alltrack today and was told that from now on, VW don't fit an SD card to the car. Therefore the only way to get updated maps is when you go and take your car for a service. Also, there will be a fee (hope thats wrong though!).

You can download the DiscoverCare app and it will do the map downloading for you. If your car does not have an SD card for the maps (eg: Golf 7.5) then it downloads to any SD card (as long as it's big enough) so you can do the update yourself.

or

You can just download the maps directly (but you get the whole ROW maps not just Australia).

What do you mean with download directly???
I use the DiscoverCare App and will always download the entire 23Gb. How do you ONLY download Australia?

You can't only download Australia you get the whole ROW package.... "(but you get the whole ROW maps not just Australia)".

But you can either download using the Discovercare app or by downloading the 7 zip file "directly" from the website (not using Discovercare).

Shame VW Australia don't offer CarNet in this country. If they did, you could select individual countries directly from your media car screen when hooked up to your home wifi.

Hi can anyone help me prior to going to dealer. Just purchased a 2013 MY14 golf GTI which had ROW13 installed. Stupid me didnt backup the files on the V1 SD card and have tried to install the latest maps however I keep getting the message "the navigation data in the infotainment system are not valid. Please check the data". Can anyone help me?? i have followed the steps where i extracted the files however keep geting this message. The SD card says VW Navigation AT Multi Region MAp (V1).

Are you after the original V1 maps? Message me if you are

(Yes, you'll need to get the dealers to update your SatNAV unit before you can take ANY map updates. A batch of cars from 2013 didn't have the right firmware to receive the map updates that you now see us doing...)

I have been unable to install the current v2 maps due to CRC errors in the archive so I wrote an email to VW Germany. They have since responded and told me to try again. Last night I was able to download/extract and install the current v2 maps.
