      • Does this mean that there's no way to get the new LED Rear dynamic tail lights on a standard GTI unless you purchase the Golf GTI Performance Edition 1?

Im assuming if it does not state ‘Premium’ LED tail-lights with dynamic indicators, we'll be getting these instead:

        • Any idea on likely how much the price of a used mk7 R will drop by say around 20000k's?

Hi Jjjones, I am afraid this is the case. Asked the very same question when preordering. But gti performance edition 1 won't have keyless start system which is a bummer.

Oh that's a bummer. I'm so torn at the moment. On one hand I've always wanted a 3-door and the performance edition 1 has everything i want(and more) except for maybe the colour. I have my heart set on pure white.

But looking at the GTI, it really looks like a good price and after adding the infotainment pack the only thing its missing that i really want is the rear led dynamic tails and the option of 3 doors...

I'm hoping the performance edition 1 sells out quick so it makes my decision a lot easier

I believe the all the other models other than Golf R & GTI get to fit premium darkened LED tail-lights + dynamic indicator as additional accessories. Also, I seem to recall that the GTI comes with standard LED tail-lights as well (darken maybe?) but def. not with dynamic indicators

On the plus side, apparently there are performance edition 2 & 3 lined up, maybe white will be an option? haha.

the premium led tail lights with dynamic indicators, for the hatch, will be avaliable as a genuine retrofit accessory from vw aust.
Not sure if it requires dealer specific coding ie above an beyond vcds or obd11, or whether its purely a change from one assebly to the other- plug n play

My Friend who works for Vw told me they are taking orders for the new golf range, l have been putting a lot of people on this forum to my mate to buy Tiguan rlines, and they have been very happy with there prices. They get a lot of cars allocated to them . So if any of you are in Melbourne and is looking to be one of the first to get your hands on one, PM me for details.

                    • I'm thinking about the base Golf 7.5 Anyone know if the 7.5 has the newer and improved 7 speed wet clutch DSG?

                      • ^ only the R I believe with the new wet clutch DQ380 (sadly I believe the low spec Golfs continue to run the sub par dry DQ200).

                        • No thats not all the 110kw tdi highline and the 135kw alltrack also get Dq380 wet
Tho at 37k for highline and 41k for alltrack base no onroads no options it gets pricy

I have got a fully loaded alltrack (all options) plus rubberboot liner, sill protector, front window tints, bonnet stone chip protector, headlight protectors, and extended 2 year warranty for 55.3k quoted on road going down to dealers to see if i can shave a bit off tomorrow

But its a big price premuim to pay for the 7 speed wet

More than likely the GTI will have whatever clutch the R gets just like it does on the MK7

                            • Confirmed on other sources speaking to VW Australia it won't be the same clutch. Only GTI Performance and R models have torque over 350nm? to warrant the wet clutch (VW savin' money again)

Also wondering if anyone has heard of numbers of R Wolfsburg Hatches coming and ordering info?

                              • Hi guys, I've been a regular visitor on this forum. Thanks for all the great discussions here.

I'm planning to purchase MK7.5 GTI. I noticed quite a few have already started putting in deposits. Would love to get on the queue. But I haven't purchased a car before it's official launch before. I have a car to trade in and just wondering how the trade in/negotiations will work.

I understand the deposit is refundable. But are we at a disadvantage when it comes to negotiations/trade in price if we place a deposit before the car is launched?

Also, what are the chances of getting any discounts during the initial few months?
