I tried the same with my alltrack wanted larger rims off the gti model answer was well vw prob wont do it and even if they did you would not like the price ($3500+) and oh btw we will keep the other rims/tyres and put em on another car......
Ebay was my friend now have my rims with tyres sitting in spare room will sell rims that come with car total cost to me 2k so take that vw

We don't get much choice from VW in Australia so it doesn't cross their other brands... some of the colours offered for the gti are not availble on the R apparently... but as rims goes I'm still hoping before I go the ebay options... btw on my 06 Jetta I bought the RNS sat nav from Ebay for 1800, has lasted up until now... followed youtube instructions rewired the head unit and all good! So a good saving all in all. Thanks for the advice.

Got some prices today for WA on a specific car I asked on:

White 7.5 Golf Comfortline DSG will be $32,346 Drive Away.
The infotainment pack is $2,300.
DAP is $1500.

I presume that to be 6 months LIC/REGO/SDuty

47300+ onroads for my fully optioned alltrack on website will get a call from dealer today i imagine
See what deal i can swing going to get rear boot protector, sill protection ,front window tinting,stonechip bonnet and light protection as well
Was going to go extended warranty as well but am going to be getting a engine and dsg tune asap so will void engine drivetrain warranty,still warranty is valid for everything else so will see what they offer
Will post with final driveaway pricing and all options when i get a final figure
Now to hope they can meet august delivery🤔

As Mr T said the tech is 2 awesome to pass you will be kicking yourself if you do
If you want one asap run down dealer as grab one of the 3 door performance gti they are a good looking machine and loaded with options
Only 150 tho in aus

Still waiting on pricing for gti to be released 🤔. Have any of you guys got a definite delivery date yet? Preordered mine but was only told it will be the first batch along with the launch which I guess is around mid-end august.

Dealer told me as little as $500 for a holding deposit. Just means you get first pick of whatever that dealer is assigned though.

Don't get me worng I like the 3 door, but I need a 5 door car for practical reasons :/

Unfortunately my mk6 GTI died on me and I don't have a car at the moment. I don't really want to purchase a new mk7 GTI as the mk7.5 are coming soon and would be a wast of money. So was looking into the 40 years edition.
