MY16 got a mid model life update so MY17 will remain much the same. As for the Mk8; I guess if we look at the MY17 Tiguan that arrives soon we might get some idea of what to expect eg 8'' Media Screens as standard; active lane assist and automatic breaking as standard. Interior styling might be very similar as well. I have read that VW are looking at extending model life so there is a possibility we may not see the MK8 until 2019 -I hope i am wrong about this!
Not much info about the virtual cockpit on any of the models. I heard various rumours that it might be included in the R-Line or Luxury packages, but nothing mentioned in that attachment And the AllTrack is excluded anyway...come on VW Australia, give the customer options!
No more GTI Performance model according to that article - that's a fairly big deal. Especially considering they're suggesting that it's effectively replaced by the 40 Years, which is a limited edition model that'll be sold out soon enough.
On the upside, Dutch77 will be pleased to see the demise of the Santiago - not exactly his favourite wheel design...

That is an odd decision - unless the PP just becomes another tick box option like it is overseas.
No sadness over the demise of the Santiagos - the only thing uglier is that 40th, might be a decent drive but I would need a blind fold to approach or leave it each time.
Glad to see no digital speedometers as well.
