New member here, when searching a fault code with my dq500 brought me to this forum where someone had the same issue 😎 so hopefully can get some useful information and solve this issue! Basic settings keep cancelling for safety reason on my dq500 gearbox, work step at termination 0 - initialisation....

About a month ago my 2014 Multivan (DQ500 DSG) started occasionally dropping into Neutral while driving (revs climb and gear indicator on dash flashed on and off) and then it resumed driving after a few seconds. (Sometimes it would flash the spanner icon and I would roll to a stop...

2012 Mk6 GTi DSG. 147km. Whining in 1st and 2nd. Took it to lube mobile, who removed the box and took it to transmissions r us in Perth, and apparently needs bearings replaced and a new clutch. Quoted $6000 all up.

I’ll keep it simple, am I being ripped off? Can I put in a used DQ500...

My Passat 240bhp came with the DQ500 DSG box. Mileage is 160,000 miles ( 256,000 km). Having an annoying grumbling slightly rattly flywheel for the last while while i decided to bite the bullet and get it replaced.

Thanks for the add to the forum. I’m based in the uk and am currently transplanting a DQ500 from an RS3 into my Noble M400 with a Ford duratec V6. So interested in any DQ500 transplants.
