Does this mean that there's no way to get the new LED Rear dynamic tail lights on a standard GTI unless you purchase the Golf GTI Performance Edition 1?

Im assuming if it does not state ‘Premium’ LED tail-lights with dynamic indicators, we'll be getting these instead:

Oh that's a bummer. I'm so torn at the moment. On one hand I've always wanted a 3-door and the performance edition 1 has everything i want(and more) except for maybe the colour. I have my heart set on pure white.Originally posted by GabrielT View PostHi Jjjones, I am afraid this is the case. Asked the very same question when preordering. But gti performance edition 1 won't have keyless start system which is a bummer.

But looking at the GTI, it really looks like a good price and after adding the infotainment pack the only thing its missing that i really want is the rear led dynamic tails and the option of 3 doors...

I'm hoping the performance edition 1 sells out quick so it makes my decision a lot easier

I believe the all the other models other than Golf R & GTI get to fit premium darkened LED tail-lights + dynamic indicator as additional accessories. Also, I seem to recall that the GTI comes with standard LED tail-lights as well (darken maybe?) but def. not with dynamic indicatorsOriginally posted by jjjones View PostOh that's a bummer. On the plus side, apparently there are performance edition 2 & 3 lined up, maybe white will be an option? haha.

the premium led tail lights with dynamic indicators, for the hatch, will be avaliable as a genuine retrofit accessory from vw aust.Originally posted by jjjones View PostDoes this mean that there's no way to get the new LED Rear dynamic tail lights on a standard GTI unless you purchase the Golf GTI Performance Edition 1?

More than likely the GTI will have whatever clutch the R gets just like it does on the MK7Originally posted by andrew7 View Post^ only the R I believe with the new wet clutch DQ380 (sadly I believe the low spec Golfs continue to run the sub par dry DQ200).

Confirmed on other sources speaking to VW Australia it won't be the same clutch. Only GTI Performance and R models have torque over 350nm? to warrant the wet clutch (VW savin' money again)

Also wondering if anyone has heard of numbers of R Wolfsburg Hatches coming and ordering info?2018 Golf R 7.5 Wolfsburg Edition Hatch - Lapiz Blue / Sunroof

Hi guys, I've been a regular visitor on this forum. Thanks for all the great discussions here.

I'm planning to purchase MK7.5 GTI. I noticed quite a few have already started putting in deposits. Would love to get on the queue. But I haven't purchased a car before it's official launch before. I have a car to trade in and just wondering how the trade in/negotiations will work.

I understand the deposit is refundable. But are we at a disadvantage when it comes to negotiations/trade in price if we place a deposit before the car is launched?

Also, what are the chances of getting any discounts during the initial few months?
