What Accessories are you buying for your MK7 Golf?

Wouldn't your remote need to be programmed as VW disabled the hatch opening function?

I had one on my MK6 Golf R for a while but didnt like it for the above mentioned reasons.

I wasnt aware that the MK7 key does not allow the hatch pop feature - thats odd.

VW disabled the function worldwide for the MK7. after a bit more research, I would need to get the coding done to enable the function.


No idea why VW thought we didn't want to release the hatch remotely anymore..?

It has an IR sensor so when I open the triangle holder it automatically come on

NEW - White light rear number plate light

Hey all,

New to this forum and new to owning a VW. I currently have a Mk7 GTI and I wanted to start off with some small easy mods before I look into performance tunes etc.

Any help would be great. First thing I wanted to do was get a white light for my rear number plates. Where could I get this from.

Also any other ideas would be great

Hey mate - welcome. Do they just use a T10 wedge bulb like the Mk6 GTI/R did? If so, you will need a good quality CANBUS compatible LED to replace them with. I would suggest the best place to start would be bold-sport who have a really good range of good quality LED bulbs for VW's.

Too funny... I bought the same mats (but with the white embossing... ) At least you didn't buy the insert mats for the door pockets and cup holders with the glow in the dark "Golf" logos on them... hahahaha

What i do need tho is a set of paddle shifters extenders
That fit the paddles properly cant find any atm i like changing with the paddles but they are 2 small
