Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • They seem to run fine best thing is they don't rust like the factory ones.

      • Hi guys, have I understood correctly that the Helix sub (the one that fits in the spare wheel tray) is no longer available? I have a 7.5 GTI.

Correct! Dealers stopped stocking them over 2 years ago.

I installed mine 2 weeks ago (but bought it over 18 months ago, from the US)

Have a look online, might be able to find something?

          • I stopped by Supernova Lighting in Melbourne today to pick up upgraded boot and license plate LEDs for my 7.5 GTI and they mentioned that they have just started selling the 7.5 Golf R style tail lights, including dynamic indicators. They are aftermarket but much cheaper than OEM and don’t require additional harnesses etc. Will be keen to hear feedback from anyone who tries them out. Coding may be required depending on your specific model.

Shop high performance auxiliary lighting. Lifetime warranty across all off road lights. Free delivery on orders over $99. IP69K Waterproof Light Bars, Work Lights, Driving LIghts.

              • Put some exhaust tips on my highline, which make a big difference in my opinion.

I’ve always loved the twin chrome tips.
