What Accessories are you buying for your MK7 Golf?
Just looking for some input and help with what everyone is interested in. I have a mate who is currently in the works of opening up an online store and having all genuine VAG items from Germany. Because it is just starting up he is looking at accessories or parts that people want now to be able to test time frames to have them sent to Australia etc. He can get everything in cheaper then the dealerships!
So if you guys could help me list what type of products you have or would like to have in your golfs. If you like, you can PM me if there is something you would like a price on and I will get that back to you.
By the way it is looking, group buys could work out cheaper due to postage costs, but we will have to see how everything goes
Thanks for finding out buddy. I will need the horizontal roof racks I think. The Golf 7 wagon comes standard with the vertical ones. Anyone else want them? Group buy please!
Wow those exhaust tips are not cheap for two pieces of metal.
Yeah those railings are for the roof racks to fit on so they are not a problem. If I can get a bunch of people wanting a few different items they can still be posted together and hence put the prices down, so I will start compiling a list of items people want for sure and when I get enough I will let you guys know. As for the exhaust tips! Yes they are very expensive, but from my understanding, they do not just clip on to the existing pipe, its a exhaust pipe replacement (end only). I can source cheaper ones which are a whole lot cheaper for about $60.00 (postage included) but they will not be genuine ones.
Pretorias can be brought in for $5,000-5,500 depending on final freight and duties at the time of exchange privately?
Yes, Postage alone is $500.00 and then there is the tax and all that as well. If there was a lot of items coming in i could of course get the postage lowered but that the best we can do

Yes I know, I factored both into my price - not aiming to be difficult, just suggesting maybe aim for goods where you can add a competitive advantage in price rather than more expensive than 'market'.
Good luck

Yeah I completely understand. Thanks Dutch, I am more then happy to get whatever parts people are looking at, but its not economical when they items weigh a lot as postage goes through the roof!
I am trying very hard to get my hands on the new Discovery Units as I know this will be a big thing that everyone is looking at!,
feel free everyone to PM me or just write a post for bits and pieces you are looking for. Even if they are after market as we have found a good supplier that we can get it out to you guys at a good price!
I'm just over a month away from getting my GTI. Super excited. Against all common sense I am considering a few things for it before I take delivery (S2T paddles are definitely going to be ordered, P3 gauge is maybe a bit too expensive for what it does IMHO). Does anyone have recommendations for:
An interior LED kit that won't trip the VCDS
Number plate base plates with plate covers*
A good floor mat set, rubber is probably best
A tubbed rubber boot liner
* I found Lakin but it'll cost $250 for a full set. Any decent (but cheaper) alternates out there?
Anything else people would recommend buying?

Hey mattaus, I can vouch for the Lakin gear - it's worth the outlay. As a much cheaper alternative I still have the rear base plate from my Mk7 and front and rear covers in full Euro size if that's the look you are chasing. I was flogging it for $30 or so in the used section if you want a look.
As for what else - well a high quality set of light weight wheels would be high on my list too.

I had a look at your listing just then. I was only going to get some slimline monochrome plates to replace my standard QLD plates. I'd only buy personalised plates if I got MATAYUS (how Mattaus is pronounced lol) but whilst they are available, I cannot justify $3,295 for them
So your plates are a bargain, but just not for me. That being said I should try find photos of a Golf with slimline plates because the space may look a little empty if you know what I mean. Euro plates would fill the space much better and I'm not sure if I like the idea of using bumper plugs (especially at $14 each...).
forgive me if i'm wrong but doesn't the GTI come with full interior LED lights already anyway?
I know the map lights definitely are. If anyone can confirm the rest are as well (centre lights, vanity lights, glove box, foot wells(?) boot etc) that would be great!
