    Although I'd take the CH-Rs in silver on the R, or the anthracite finish.

      I'm surprised to say that gunmetal actually works for me in that shot, although I'd probably go silver too. Still, definitely one of my absolute faves from this thread as well, and a classic style that suits the Golf (and others) so well.

        ..or are we thinking of a particular CH-R shod S3 in Sepang when we think of anthracite on blue.

        Speaking of Audi, this guy fitted the wheels off his CC to his GTI in the USA but these appear to be Audi Rotors, so I believe he was referencing the more unusual sizing for a Golf at 19 x 8.5 ET38:

                • I get a feeling that that design is getting overused... The neuspeed RSe10 is my new love, but I can only see 19x8.0 around

                    It's fairly common, but it's also a classic look that works on plenty of cars, and doesn't seem to date like many designs can.

                    Several of the VMRs are very close to top of my list right now.

                    • The 810 is a fresher look than the now overplayed 710, plus the straighter lines suit the Mk7 (or S3 as it were).

                      Per my comment the other night though the Neuspeeds are now gaining a very big following in the VW community in the USA, if they get distribution sorted out here and ensure there is no 'Pacific tax' ie. rip off mark ups, then they will gain popularity here as well. Although at around $2,500 AUD for a set of RSe10s they're obviously a step up in price on VMRs. High quality and a 20.5lb weight on the 19 x 8s explains the gap - but yes unfortunately that design only comes in 19 for now. You'll need to look at five spokes or mesh/Y spoke for 18 options.

                      And while I avoid anything other than Mk7s in this thread I can't help but taunt Adam (and myself once I get my act together) with RSe10s on sepang:

                        • I had considered the 810's (like the idea are flow formed) but I do actually like the deep concave look of the 710. However I am leaning to the 713 at the moment as they in my view have a more aggressive look & not as common. I really want to go gun metal instead of hyper silver on my white r but would be interested in others thoughts on this colour combo.

                            710s are everywhere, and I suspect the 810 will follow. The 713 is definitely a lot rarer.

                            My thoughts on gun metal on white are all positive - do it.
