Is the Friction a winter tyre? If not then not the best idea for Sweden in Winter?

        Wheels look good.

They're very average. Given the premium one would pay for it drivers would hate to be confused for a PP.

Nice choice on the wheels, there are so many terrible winter setups out there, the SRs keep a bit of class and style.. and were deliberately designed by BBS as winter wheels.

Don't know much about winter setups though - part of my last 'winter' was in FNQ with 28c and blue skies most days.

          • In my opinion the Darkshine concept at Worthersee shod with ATS wheels and some clean body additions and highlights would be the perfect base for how the Clubsport should actually look. I don't even mind the yellow highlights, perhaps just delete the back section and leave it with a few splashes - a toned down Renault if you like.

Looks way better than the actual Clubsport design study, which looks like they employed a bit of Aussie HSV Clubsport styling traits with odd plastic bits.

Hmmm with you and wheels there is no accident. These would have been researched for many months

Oh but I must have walked away from my computer and junior dubber happened to put them in my shopping cart and hit "buy now". I only found out about it when they arrived on our doorstep.... honest!!!!

Tig1 ended up with some very nice 19x8 OZ Ultraleggera wheels after they were advertised in the parts for sale area and the original owner got fed up with low-ballers offered them to me at a price I couldn't refuse.

They were brand new rims still in the box.... though I had to source wheel bolts and hub rings to make them fit.

Not sure that'll ever happen again. Starting to look at wheels again... though Tig2 is currently sporting some nice 19x9 Audi 5 spoke hollow rims. Again these wouldn't fit a Mk7 due to width/offset - Tig2 is even running guard extensions to keep things legal.

                  Here's what they look like on a Mk5. Haven't seen any on a Mk7...

Here in Kungsbacka (south of Gothenburg) we have snow/ice 5-10 days /year, then we have rain, so non-spikes friction works perfectly! (Nokia WR A3)

Yes interesting these were ATS, not sure if it reflects a change in direction by Oettinger as traditionally their wheels were outsourced to Ronal.
