These appear to be reps of some kind, available on multiple German sites with slightly different branding ( Informationen über BT-Räder und Reifen Vertriebs-GmbH & Co. KG & https://www.ls-cardesign.de/onlineshop/shopauswahl.php ) although they might be better quality reps than we are used to, given their pricing around €1,900 and possibly Italian made. Anyway I like the design and finish of these wheels and works well on this black Mk7.

i enquired directly with Rays - slow reply but they came back saying "The specs is 19x8 +48 all around for your car" and advising they could supply (with 8-12 week lead time though)

so i am concerned from your response that maybe Rays may supply something that doesn't fit properly?

If you're buying 19x8 ET48 that will fit easily on the Mk7 (in fact they're the same specs I have, just I've stuck to 18 inch).

I'd be almost certain that if Rays know you're buying for a Mk7 they will provide the hub-centric rings to ensure the right fit, it is rare for an after-market alloy to match the VAG's 57mm CB measurement. If for some reason they didn't then as suggested they can be bought from a lot of other sources. I have read on other forums you can actually run without the hub-centric ring, but cannot vouch for the accuracy of this.

In other words - all good, good luck, and if you proceed we want pics.

I've been waiting until a Mk7 showed up with HREs, and here it is in possibly my most desirable model the P40. The head scratcher here is they're fitted to a second hand GTI at a dealer.. surely someone knows what these are? (It's a South African car for $43k AUD with 2000km, DSG, leather, DAP, sunroof, and xenons.. and these HREs!).

Another of the cheaper wheels in the BBS range with an rrp around $2,700. Quite like this design of wheel on the Mk7, but will need work to fit in 19s - the 18 x 8 ET40 is borderline while a 17 x 7.5 ET46 is almost stock like for non GTI/R Golfs and would clock in around $2,000. As always PM for details if interested.

Note: not a legal fitment in Australia

These are the only wheels to truly make me drool so far. Dutch, do you know of any similar styles available locally that are in a more accessible price point, 18 or 19”?

It's fairly similar, minus the additional silver lip/notch on the spokes, but could look at the TSW Spa - available as a 19x8 ET45 in the 5x112 PCD we need. They're pretty cheap too at around $1,120 for a set.

Beyond that it's probably a case of working out whether it's black five spokes, or the lip design, or a combination of both that 'does it for you' in terms of what other wheels might suit you.

I've ignored straight replicas/fakes, I'm sure one exists somewhere. Not my cuppa though.

Not too late for me to organise a set for the Mk6.
