Black on LSG looks amazing, given the cost of Oettingers I'd be wary of respraying them.

Not easy tracking down information on these ones, they have been fitted for use on the VW Castrol Cup cars and won't be a legal fitment on Australian road cars. FYI the series takes in Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary in tuned Golfs running GTI badging but an R style front bar (the pictured car is a road car, not the race car). For €39k drivers get a maintained vehicle for the seven round 14 race series although it appears they can offset some of that cost be on selling advertising spots on the car.

What is easier to track down is the ATS Racelight wheel which I think looks great, the straight lines should work well with the Mk7 styling. Available in a few finishes, but likely in a very unfriendly and not legal fitment of 18 x 8.5 ET30. Hopefully this comes up in something more useful to the Golfs in the future.

What are our thoughts.. Mk6 R Talladegas on the Mk7?
I think the Wheels from the MK6 was designed on the MK6 such as the rounded edges and feel. Personally, the Talladegas and detroit felt abit roundish and doesn't suit the MK7 sharpish design. But that's my 2 cents.

I like the Talles: after all the Mk7 Cadiz are very similar (I think they will look better powdercoated gloss black)

Detroits are tired - I don't think I want to see them for a few years until they get used as retro look wheels, perhaps on a bagged car!

The Talladegas on the other hand, while soft edged in places, at least do have the straight line spokes so I reckon could work.

I'm sure there will be a few people coating their Cadiz so look forward to seeing some pics of those.

Hopefully some better pictures show up of this or other cars running the OZ ST LMs. I'll admit my bias having fitted them to my Mk6 - I've guessed the specs on this car as these definitely look to be 19s - this won't be a legal fitment. However the 18 x 8 ET48s I had on my Mk6 are fine (although lowered I got front end rub.. fender screw mod probably would have fixed this), you can even go with an OEM sized fitment of 18 x 7.5 ET50 if you like and save a couple of dollars.

Speaking of which if you're after OZ and weighing up the local v overseas options I've found the local option weighing up pretty well still (as it did last year when I bought for my Mk6). PM for further info if desired.
I'm looking pretty seriously at these. Great to see them on a mk7 for an example. Although my car is carbon steel grey... Any thoughts on gunmetal wheels on a grey car?

Oettingers - if you need to ask..

Keep in mind they are 19 inch, so also depends whether you want to go up a size or stick to the 18s.

With grey on grey, I think it depends on whether there is contrast between the two - CSG is definitely darker than the graphite OZ color, so it should work. Here is a couple of links to the same Mk6 car in the USA running what I had:

I'd also consider just the silver finish on the LMs as well, that provides a really good contrast with CSG, although will be a bitch to clean for brake dust! I'd definitely look at some kind of coating to speed that process up.. and note I said LM here, I prefer the defined centre on these over the more concave finish on the GTs.

They range from 425 - 470 Euro before shipping / duty & GST. We are attempting sea freight to try to keep the cost down - but it delays everything a chunk.

Haha ooops, I'm cheap so I guess the Oettingers are out of the question

Might be because the brakes are still new, but I'm not seeing much brake dust. Not like the Polo I had which turned your wheels from silver to a lovely brake-dust coloured gunmetal in a few days...

...Also not sure about plain silver, a little plain for my tastes.

Looks good - per the Mk6 just the right drop. Liking the looks of those brakes peeking out too. Also answered my query elsewhere on the fender screw and whether its still there or not!

Assume you've added a red lip protector on to the rims?

Keep us posted on those Oettinger rims too.

I quite like silver wheels on CSG for contrast - but unsure on the LMs, I agree the graphite might look a little different and I reckon should work well. It's all straight lines really which is what the Mk7 is about.

I was doctoring numerous wheels on to a CSG profile when I was looking around, I'll stick some LMs on for giggles when I get a chance.

I have much love for these wheels although a new set are probably in the $3,500 range. I've quoted the most friendly fitment in the specs - which could be borderline at 14mm poke per the discussion earlier in this thread (please read); however these pics clearly show a lot more poke so I am guessing they've fitted the ET40 wheels (they also do an ET32 in 5x112 PCD). These wheels are also running the BBS stainless lip protector which perhaps adds to the poke look.
