hi guys,my R came with 18" Cadiz from the uk but I wasn't overly keen on the pretoria 19" option though now in hindsight I should of just had them being as they sell for mega bucks here, I do like the look of the guys oz leggera's on here and even in 18" size which would be cheaper using the same tyres,I also like the look of bbs ch-r in 19" either anthracite or black (can't decide between the two and wether the silver strip on the blacks looks ok) so my short list is oz leggera 18or19" and bbs 19"ch-r black or anthracite

Look at the curvature shape around the lock nuts and how the inside of the spoke is scalloped. It's just that the angle is quite deceiving.
This is backed up by the owner of the car referencing a picture from the shop that sells these Roda wheels.
The easiest way to replicate the look however would be to grab the Durbans, unless you desire 20 inch wheels - there is a nice lowered vehicle with Durbans a few pages back that looks just right IMO: http://www.vwwatercooled.com/forums/...ml#post1067272Last edited by Dutch77; 23-07-2014, 10:08 AM.

I didn't realise the 18" Cadiz also came with the black finish on the wheel, I've seen a few 18 inch Cadiz that are just plain alloy.
I am guessing you might be referring to my Leggeras? I reckon they'd look great on a Lapiz R, and yes I stuck with 18s both to re-use the existing tyres I had but also for the ride and weight benefits as well.
The BBS CH-Rs look good on the Mk7s, there's a few posts in this thread with them. The silver lip on the black wheel could work well as it may tie in nicely with the mirror cap? The lip can be removed I believe (if it's like the CH) if you want all black - or painted - as it is designed as an added protective measure for kerbing etc.

How much are they pinging you UK guys to upgrade to Pretorias out of interest?

I think I'm going to go with leggeras like yours as they really are a smart looking rim and give the impression they are bigger,to be honest though if I wouldn't of found the picture of your car I wouldn't be even thinking having 18" but the devil in me keeps saying"go 19" lol.The bbs ch-r in black with the rim protector would have to be 19" as In my opinion look to small due to the bbs design, they would look good with all the shiny bits on the car but I like my oz wheels as I had 19" superturismo's lm in graphite on my previous white mk3 st focus wagon which stood up to the british roads and looked epic.

£2,400 is a bit more than the £2,799 I've seen quoted from a German dealer online (ex freight and duties/taxes) so becomes very dear after-market and not worthwhile.
I think the Leggeras look pretty good, I ended up with the first set locally and haven't seen them on to many web pics yet. I think the 18s are fine and have a lot of upside, ideally I'd just want to reduce the wheel gap but as I've stated many times before on here I am loathe to upset the Mk7's ride. Going 19 will exaggerate the gap even more on the GTI without a drop (the R a bit less so as it is 5mm lower in the first place).
I feel your love on OZs, per my sig I ran ST LMs in 18s on my Mk6!
Keep us updated on your progress and post up the end results.

NEUSPEED RSE52
Specs: 18 x 8, ET45, weight 19.0lbs/8.6kg
There is a permanent group buy on Neuspeed wheels in the USA with details previously posted here: http://www.vwwatercooled.com/forums/...ml#post1056216 . Just a reminder these are a decent quality light weight wheel, a few different styles, finishes and sizes available and these can take the VW centre cap for an OEM finish.
