Hi Guys

Can someone recommend a place in Brisbane to take my GTI in for service.

I've done over 6K in just 3 months so would like someone to have a look over it for me.

I'm at East Brisbane area.

I see you have the driver assist package, how does the front sensor look? Does it look as bad In real life as the pictures show?

To be honest I don't notice the driver assist sensor at all. I even had to go back to the car to see if it was actually there. Anyway, the gti is very pretty for such a beast and could do with a bit of ugly! Having said that it is a little surprising that VW didn't do something more elegant with it given how smart they were incorporating the rear camera into the badge. Maybe other options would have compromised it's effectiveness so as long as it works I'm happy.

I have to chuckle each time a fellow gti driver goes past and notices the new model!

I saw my first new GTI on the road this morning (haven't seen one on the road yet, only at the dealer).
It was white with tinted windows and was on city link driving into the city. Did look awesome!

so guys I have my vin for my new Gti, my car was a week 5 build, day two. By the end of the next week I had the vin, this was last Friday.

My eta is May. Been trying to track the car but it not showing up yet. Did not trust the dealer so I paid up and got access to Erwin, looks like it is built as it showed up, looks like the My14 still does not come with voice control... Cheap VW very Cheap...

So can other people give me a idea of how long it can take to show up on tracking ....your past experience may help me calm down ... I am just excited...

My car sat on the docks for 2 and half weeks before being loaded.

Wow, you must have a very nice sales person/dealership giving you a loan car.

Wonder if I can ask for a loaner, my delivery isn't expected to be until Sept/Oct (placed an order on an Audi S3 Sedan over the weekend) - I'm betting on no chance, lol.

Yeah they are pretty good. I wasn't expecting a new car at all, thought they'd give me an old wholesaler.

We have bought 4 car from them now. It's worth asking closer to delivery

Around 1-2 weeks from date of manufacture to arrive at the docks. Another 1-3 weeks in holding facilities waiting for a ship.

The car may show up on tracking before it's loaded onto a boat; it'll be in the W&W system once it's been assigned to a ship.

I see the Audi S1 gets officially released tomorrow. At first glance it seems to have equivalent performance to the Golf 7 GTI

It should do considering it is running a 2.0TSI engine.
