So you're the person who reserved that plate I tried that combo on PPQ a few months back and it was taken. I'm from New Farm and take the story bridge every day so I'll keep an eye out for you !

Where did you get the tint done and would you recommend ? There's a guy on another Golf forum that's selling Genuine LED tail lights for $75 but there have been some issues with errors been displayed on the MFD. have you done much research on this ?

I'm going home to drive and play with my new Golf !!!

Wooow, that's my dream golf setup! The tint and rotary wheels look amazing. I'm waiting for my trend line black 90TSI to ship in. Shame you're not in Melbourne, I'd be keen on the Dijon wheels. What kind of care/treatment are you going to do on the black paint to keep it looking good?

I am sure we will cross paths at some point! I really wanted MKV11 but it was gone Got the tint done at work as I work at a dealership. I haven't done any research haha enjoy it! Such an awesome car to drive.

Getting a cut and polish by a pro detailer friend who works at BMW then a coat of Opti-Coat paint protection

I will then apply:

2 coats of black wax
Chemical Guys - Black: Best soft paste wax for black cars. Restores the shine and depth of black and dark colored vehicles.

And finish off with hybrid V7

My VW MK VII 110 TDI Highline (Pure White, driver assist, leather, Bi-Xenon, panoramic sun roof) has arrived in Melbourne on the Asian King. It has to be road freighted to Brisbane. Does any one know how to track the vehicle once it has been offloaded, other than relying on the dealer?

You must have got in early - my white TSI Highline with driver assist, bi-xenon and sun roof doesn't arrive in Melbourne until Friday. However, I'll be picking it up in Melbourne

Yes very lucky, ordered the car from the dealership in Ipswich two weeks ago and initially it was going to be a factory build. Then they found 3 (one in my preferred colour) on the Asian King destined for a dealership in Melbourne. The two dealers got together and presto I got the car. Great result.

Yes I ordered the Vienna Leather. It comes with heated seats. Ok with the dealership so far. I'm dealing with Ben Horsfall. He was the only one of 5 dealerships that I called that was willing to discuss initial pricing on the phone. Ended up with a deal that I was very happy with. Got fleet discount and significantly reduced dealer delivery charges.
Normal stuff in that after you commit to the car they try and sell extras like paint protection , extended warranty etc., but you expect that. After I get the car I'm having 3m paint protection film applied across the front of the car, headlights, mirrors, the door cups and sills and the rear hatch lip. I'm also getting the guy to put black 3M high gloss film on the roof to match the panoramic sunroof so the whole roof will be black.

I went with Ian Boettcher as well and initially spoke to Ben when I wanted to take a couple of models for a test drive and he sounded really cool over the phone, but I ended up dealing with Jay who turned out to be excellent to deal with as well.
