My car arrives in Adelaide on Tuesday ready for what they call PD (pre delivery) This must be some sort of process as it takes a week after that until it's ready.

That's good news for you. I hope all goes well and the car lives up to your expectations. I now have a confirmed pick up date of Thursday next week. Going out to the dealer on Saturday to have a look at the car, apparently its all covered in plastic protection, but it still will be good to see it as I only have seen the sunroof in photos.

I now have a revised confirmed pick up date of Friday 30 August for my Pure White MK7 110 TDI Highline from the dealership. Taking a rec day from work to collect it before the weekend. Delivered before 31 August so free servicing for 3 years. Just got in under the wire! Now for the window tint, black high gloss piano black vinyl wrap for the rest of the roof so it matches the panoramic sun roof and some other bits and pieces. I'll post some photos when done, probably towards the end of September - all dependent on the bank balance

Picked mine up yesterday morning - very happy. The bi-xenon lights really help the look of the front, and are brilliant on unlit winding roads at night. First car I've had with a sunroof, and it's doing all I hoped. Yet to explore the driver assist package other than the driving modes, which are different from each other but all quite drivable.

Sounds like you've optioned it the same spec as to the one I've ordered. Did you get the TSI or the TDI?
Interested to know what color you went for and when you placed your order and how long you had to wait.

TSI highline in white. Ordered at the end of April, so a (long) 4 month wait.

I ordered mine at the start of June. Been advised it's a November delivery now apparently due to some production delays... I will have waited 5 months before I can get in and drive it

I have ordered a limestone gray Highline TDI with xenons, driver assist and blade wheels. I have a 5 month wait for mine.. And it does not bother me a bit, good things come to those who wait

Yep, but even better if you don't have to wait. I understand their was a hail storm at the Wolfsburg plant that damaged a lot of cars that need to be replaced. That has increased the backlog, and so the delivery time.

Yeah, my limestone gray comfortline was ordered end of June and the estimate is early November at this stage. Just have to keep telling myself it'll be worth the wait hehe

Me too, could'nt wait. Tried the ACC on the way home from the dealer on the Ipswich Hwy and it worked a treat. Took me a while before I had some confidence in it. Only one very minor annoyance - the radio. I can't seem to have the am presets on the same menu as the fm presets, works in my Passat but not the new Golf. Very minor issue though the rest of the car is brilliant.

Saw your car yesterday looked awesome! Cant wait to see the roof blacked out, its a good thing the sat nav arial is black from the factory
