The ship FIGARO from the Wallenius Wilhelmsen fleet has arrived into Port Kembla Live Ships Map - AIS - Vessel Traffic and Positions with some shiny new VW's and other German cars.

My MK7 is aboard, is anyone else's Golf aboard this ship ?

I think mine is on board the Tamerlane, which has not long left Baltimore - due in Melbourne around the 20th Aug.

Have just ordered 110 TDI highline in Pure White with Leather, Drivers Assistance Pack, Panoramic Sun Roof and Bi-Xenon lights. There's one on a ship now and the dealer is seeing whether it can be diverted, otherwise its going to be a long wait!

All going well I pick up my TDI Highline tomorrow - compromised on the list of toys but did the deal on Sunday and pick up tomorrow - I can live with that.
I've been through the VW "if you order the car today we will get a build date and......." a couple of times before, no longer interested in the 4 moth + waits, I'm not a young man and don't have the time to waste.

My car is on a ship called "Asian King". Passed through the Panama Canal July 22nd. On the way to Melbourne, but ours in being unloaded in Port Kembla before the trip to Adelaide. Due into Melbourne on the 12th and Sydney on the 14th.

Hi Brew69, did you dealer gave you and eta and tracing thing so you know where your car is up to in production? I've got an eta of end of oct/nov. when do i know?

99% certain I'll be picking up a 90TSI manual in white tomorrow.

I'll see how I feel about it all tomorrow morning, and give them a call to arrange the paperwork. Car is in stock, ready to find a loving home.

Collected my 110TDI Highline yesterday afternoon and must admit I am pretty happy with it. The adaptive cruise control works nicely too. Still playing with all the toys and getting used to all the controls on the steering wheel but the car performs well and seems reasonably well screwed together (with the exception of the front right quarter panel near the join on the A pillar).

Hi All,

I hopefully take delivery of new Golf tomorrow 6th August The thing is I'm not picking it up from the dealer as they are interstate and am basically getting the car delivered on the back of truck by 'Patrick's auto'. Before I sign any paperwork to confirm I'm happy with delivery, is there any checklist or things I should ensure I check ? What have you guys done on delivery?
