Looking good. I'm getting comfortable with white now.
Just remember not to hurt your jaw from too much smiling..

Guys, I was told that Traffic wasn't 'enabled' or 'ready for Australian market' yet. Is this true? When I was at the dealership going through the car the Traffic wasn't working and that's what they told me. They said that it's something that was switched on for some cars when they were testing it and it was meant to be switched off - any ideas?Driving: Golf R Mk7 MY14 - Pure White, DSG, Leather, DAP and Sunroof

So it's been a week since I picked up my MK7 GTI. Here are some pics of it during the day not looking like it's hot pink.
It's our first VW and here are some quick thoughts.
Likes:
- great build quality. It's a lovely interior. People complain about it being a bit boring but I'm not into loud flashy interiors.
- the torque. So much and on tap from low revs. Pulls you out of corners with pace before the turbo kicks you in the back.
- that DSG exhaust pop on up shifts.
- the handling is great at normal settings. No need for bone crunching stiffness.
- my wife loves it and it's a piece of cake for her to drive.
- Mr 4 loves the "go fast" mode.
- the boot is bigger than expected. It takes my golf gear without too many issues.
Dislikes:
- the standard halogen lights
- I only drive it on weekends

Agree with your sentiments - it might be conservative but it's classy and will date well, the same way most VWs do. I doubt you'll be able to say that about the Merc A Class in 5-10 years time.
Originally posted by ZMan View PostThat's what I was told too. He did say that it might be available in the future. I'm also in Perth and he said that it might take a bit longer to implement it here compared to the eastern states.
I can see it being of some use in certain places, not sure how useful it would be here in Adelaide - if it's peak hour then basically any main road in and out of the city is chockas. There really aren't alternative routes for a lot of trips here.

ZMan if your car is only a week old like mine you should be able to enable traffic without VCDS. There is a video in the SD card thread - it's two settings in the radio menu which you change and voila!MY14 MK VII GTI | Pure White | Manual | Bi-Xenons (his)

Once that's done, press the Traffic button and voila! You now have traffic information.
