Picked up mine a couple of days ago from Robina Volkswagen on the Gold Coast. Dealt with Michael Goldsworthy - great bloke and excellent to deal with. Would recommend him without hesitation.
I reckon the LSG is a brilliant colour, just makes the car look super special IMO - but then I am biased I suppose!
Aside from the colour though, the car is brilliant to drive even at low speeds in eco (keeping rpm low for a 1000km or so) - just loving it.

I second your comments about Michael Goldsworthy. I have ordered my TDI from him and am awaiting delivery later this month. The wait is killing me.

Sorry about that - had it linked I thought to DrK's 7R as mine is exactly the same car and spec as his. LSG 7R with the lot. Just love it.
You are going to love your TDI great car as well. Don't reckon you can go wrong with any Golf 7 actually. They just drive so well and the quality is amazing. Enjoy!

Mk7
Likes - everything. Improved in almost every way.chassis - incred. Steering-huge step up. Torque down low.
Love - underground carpark noise in race mode :p
Dislikes - skinnier non perforated leather steering wheel, manual (no more electric) lumbar support, 4 phone favourites (not 6), electric window buttons on driver side - awkward to reach. :/

I've done a couple of hundred km's in mine since Thursday. Coming from a MkVI GTI this is an entirely different car. In the same vein as DrK...
Likes - everything. A complete step up in every way from Candy. Sticks to the road (just went out in the rain this morning), low down torque even in normal mode, cabin, sound, quality.
Love - starting it, every time. The colour - I was unsure about LSG but it was either that or wait for another car but I love it with the leather, LED interior lighting and blacked out trim and windows.
Dislikes - ZOMG that Discovery screen is terrible. Coming from the RND screen in the last car to this the size and resolution are pretty average for a 60k+ car. Dealer said it was because VWA wanted to keep the overall price down. I think an 8" screen would cost VW AG about 20 bucks extra per car.. No electrics on seat but no big deal, the placement of the mode and engine-off override switches on the passenger side, and the placement of the window controllers on the drivers door.
I got it for a good price - certainly not the cheapest on here (DrK did better than me) but I was happy to pay to get the car I wanted now. Fully loaded with the three options and DSG.Golf 7R | 5 Door | Limestone Grey | DSG | Sunroof | Leather | Driver Assist | Tint | Formerly GTi11.5

Finally received my GTI yesterday.
Nice step up from my old Mk6, either I've forgotten how that car felt or the Mk7 definitely picks up with more urge which I'd expect given the big bump in torque.
I hadn't actually been in a Mk7 prior to pick up so can only echo a couple of across the board sentiments of 7R above - the control placement is a minor frustration, and wow Discover sucks. I would have thought after the class leading RCD/RNS systems that this would be a step up and it's not. Which is a shame because the MFD presentation is so crisp and clean.
But anyway.. I didn't buy this car to play with the screen so that's a minor gripe.
Adelaide had one of its earliest May cold snaps on record (sorry global warmers) and plenty of wet weather so my as yet unnamed car is shy and hiding out in the dark garage for now - the pics will follow on Tuesday after detail and Opticoat gets done.
