Just be careful not to get something too shiny - don't want the sun being reflected into your eyes

Test Driving the Mk7 R, ....almost.
A few months ago I bought an MK7 GTI. Two weeks ago I got a call from the same Dealer telling me they were calling previous buyers of “performance VW vehicles” and would I like to make an appointment to test drive the new MK7 R. I arranged for Sunday, arrived on time and by chance was met by the salesperson who had accepted the appointment. I introduced myself by name. First words after greeting me were, oh and you’re here to see the new GTI.
Wrong. I explained that I had come to see the MK7 R.
I looked, sat in and generally poked around the vehicle for about 5 minutes. At that time I suggested we take the car for a test drive. The salesperson disappeared for a few minutes and came back and directed me into the office. Then began the “blurb” and questions about how I would like to conduct the sale, trade in etc. (what sale ???)
I was then told the demonstrator vehicle that I was looking at had been sold yesterday and the purchaser had given permission for the Dealership to use the vehicle for test drives. The only way they could allow anybody to drive the vehicle was if they put a deposit on the purchase of a new MK7 R, then and there. I couldn’t be bothered even questioning the ridiculous scenario they'd invented. I politely said goodbye to the salesperson and left.
Incidentally, at the same time I was looking through the R, another person walked in, straight-off-the-street and was talking to another of their sales people. I overheard everything that was being said. This guy had never seen an R before. While I was sitting in the office, listening to this garbage, who drove off in the R,…..the other guy!
Well done McGrath Liverpool, you will not be getting my business in the future.

Hope that helps

Thanks Paul, sorry my post wasnt clear, just the looks that were noticed at this stage, the Lapiz Blue and LED driving lights look pretty sharp (and the Cadiz are growing on me).
Agree, the Soundakator would only be audible in the car, had it in normal mode and even then it was pretty loud when I accelerated with some intent! No DSG farts yet, will take it for a spin tonight on some local twisties to bring them to the fore. Interior sounded good overall, pretty mean actually, but might keep in view to have it toned down a fraction. Acid test will be highway cruising and a acceptable level of drone (on the Calder Hwy to Melbourne a bit).
And yes I am stoked!! Very happy with the look and feel of the car, no rattles, feels absolutely planted on the road, very quick and comfortable on the roads in normal mode.
