In QLD I think that is a $2000 plate? I would make sure YOU are happy with it. Ask some people that you know aren't the brightest light-bulbs if you are worried about it being misinterpreted.

Two questions for my noob-ish mind:

1) 91? Why not 98? Tuned for 91 or are the OS spec Golf's set up differently?

2) I wonder how quick that GTI is to 100? The R probably still has it given 4MOTION, but the rolling start was impressive for a GTI. Top end lack of power showed as well of course.

They might rip you on a custom plate but Qld looks after you on stamp duty - since heading south I've now discovered the Vics want even more than the crooks back in SA.

That is awesome. I have stage 1 on my mk7 R, be interesting to see how it goes on the qtr. I would be worried using launch control though with the huge torque difference from standard, worried it would kill the clutch packs

NO, not if it's detected by VW. Best is to flash remove it before servicing or warranty work which APR claim puts it back to stock and untraceable but no body can confirm this 100%.

In regards to Stage 2, looks very appealing to me. Seems it gives much better response and low end torque which will be nice for day to day driving and the extra power and torque higher rpm for when pushing car.

I'm surprised thry have released the tune before their Exhaust or DSG tune released. I will wait until they relese DP later in year, probably my xmas present if they have usual sale. Getting the Harding Performance DSG tune in few weeks so I'll be all set for the high torque.

I think stage 2 tune with DSG tune will be perfection!
