If you can next time your going for a drive try toggle recirculating air on and off and pop your hand over the drivers door air vent and see if you can feel any air blowing through it. I find mine does it really strongly on the drivers door side, drivers center console vent does it as well but only slightly. The passenger two don't do it at all. Service reckons this is normal but everyone I speak to says their car does not do it, I've even gone down to two other VW dealerships who say its not normal, and a guy at work has the same car as me and he swears his doesn't do it either.
So I checked it out. My car blows air out of the drivers' air vents more strongly than the other vents. It does it when the car is on auto or recirculating, or even when the air is set to the footwell only. It is really gentle though and not really an issue for me. I wonder if it's a mechanism to reduce the chance of the side window fogging up?

Thanks for checking. Possibly. I'm told it's to stop a high pitched whistle developing. Though I've never had a car that does this and they didn't have the aforementioned whistle. Neither has my whole family, my fathers got the ****s with me because I paid for the chemical flush when I complained the air con stunk and they found some mold buildup. And he says the whistle is a bs coverup excus which I'm inclined to agree with.
What disappointments me the most is I've contacted Volkswagen customer support litterally 20 times over the past 18 months and all there interested to do is call my dealership and ask them to ring me. I rang them on Tuesday explained my situation. She said my you have had a lot of issues I just read all the notes. I explained I'm at my wits end the dealership isn't doing anything and asked her for advice. She said I'm going to talk to my manager and asked me to hold. She comes back saying I've tried to contact the dealership but there not answering I'll have to call you back. 2 days later and I'm still waiting for that call back!
So disappointing this is my first brand new car purchase and to have it go off like this is pretty disappointing. Really put me off buying brand new really expensive cars.
Does anyone know if there offering the new 7.5 R here in AU in the wolfsburg edition? I've asked 3 dealerships now and none of them even knew what it was let alone if its going to be offered here. If they are does it come with the carbon fiber mirror caps? I remember seeing that in a video once before cant remember where, may of been the initial reveal videos, but I haven't seen it since.

Check out the Wolfsburg R thread. The cars people have put deposits down for are all 7.5 cars. Not sure on the carbon mirror caps.

The only additional cosmetic add ons are the carbon fibre mirror caps and the grey pretorias.
