Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

[QUOTE=AdamD;1077067]Given the way a tune works (modifies AFRs to lean the engine out somewhat where it is safe to do so, as well as modifying timing/advance and boost), you may well see a significant improvement in economy after tuning.[/]
Unless of course if you drive with your foot welded to the floor.Looking for:- RS4 B7 Avant.
Current:- Amarok V6 Sportline; Mazda CX-9 Azami AWD

Interesting to note that of all the R's currently being built of on their way to Aus seem to rarely be specced with a sunroof... Seems strange to me2015 Golf Mk VII R Manual | Lapiz Blue | Leather | Sunroof | Driver Assistance Package II

Just signed my contract, feeling a bit stupid as another dealer called me as I had signed my paperwork offering me the same car for $1500 less.
Oh well, I guess I will have to say up some money for that Stage 1...
Also, are people generally getting any of the dealer extras? leather protection? paint protection? etc?

They just outsource the work or do it on the cheap and charge you twice what the cost is.
You would be better to look into the detailing section of the forum and find out what others have done re: sealant/opticoat/nanolex/clear-wrap etc.

^ yes I am the same, I love the sun roof, ordered mine in late may.
My option was to have one within 2 weeks without sunroof or wait until mid September. So my wait is soon over.
andrew7, I just saw you went beef hunting in your vehicle,I couldn't believe that your back on the waiting list. Also surprised you went with White after being such a fan of the Lapiz, other than being too loud (Which I don't think Lapiz is) were there any other concerns with the paint quality, swirls or the ongoing maintenance? with what I have seen on other boards, I am getting the feeling Lapiz is one of those colours if you like spending your weekends giving a once over. If your not that type of person then stay well clear of it. Are other people seeing that also?

^ G'day Jase, yes it was a bit of a near death experience but the R's safety systems worked a treat!
As to my color selection I had a love/hate relationship with the Lapiz Blue, just found it a little 'purple' and showy (agree it is susceptible to swirls etc and needs pro paint correction). I decided 2nd time around to keep my R classic and low profile and white always fits the bill + looks good with a dark tint (and I may switch rims at some stage eg matte black Oz racing ultraleggas). I did love the Vienna leather and heated seats very nice on recent -6 mornings in our neck of the woods (!), and DAP a no brainer safety system option. Didn't 'need' a sunroof but all credit to those of you for whom it's a must have, after all its different strokes for different folksThere's good demand for R's/they're selling well so I don't mind a 2month wait this time around, I know the waits worth it

boost tap is 70$ for U.S, and 130$ for oz.
