yes, our friend Corey should chill out.. thought you would see the funny side SF, I care NOT that VW has stopped production of the three door version. Kinda felt that was the point of my response, but hay we all don't see humour the same way..... 11 VWR Golf R
Our Golf R now has 3000km on it and is getting quicker as it loosens up. It is amazingly quick on tight winding mountain roads and is far quicker than the big bikes one finds on these roads! The cornering power is like araldite on plywood. It sticks like cement. All systems and controls work perfectly and the car has no faults for any warranty claims. It has no rattles or squeaks and is very comfortable. Just a fantastic car with amazing performance and handling. We are very happy customers of VW Australia.Bockey

<Save yourself some money and dont get ripped off by VW by paying close to 100 dollars for a simple cable. That money can go towards your Stage 1 upgrade :p
And yes i can comfirm the cable works 100% with my iPhone 3GS, full function, no issues.

In my centre console there is a jack plug socket so this cable is not the one for my Golf R. I need an iPhone4 plug at one end and a stereo jack plug (3mm I think) at the other.
Yes it is a DSG and going very well.

The socket is labelled MDI but it is a simple socket like for headphones.Bockey

Hmm - Seems like they might have screwed up the wiring in my car a little...
When I turn the nob to the right to adjust the right external mirror, it adjusts the left mirror instead - When I turn it to the left it will also adjust the left mirror, for some reason I can't adjust the right mirror at all... I also think the nob is a bit cheap and flimsy personally as well.
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but I really think they got lazy and left the hand brake on the wrong side of the car, it really should be on the right side next to the driver and the cup holder near the passenger... Depending on what options you've got set in the MFI, when the right mirror is selected, it will adjust the left and right mirrors at the same time. So you adjust the right, and then adjust the left.Comment
