Check this acceleration out - with just a tune?!?! Cant be, thats quick.

At only 310 PS (228kW), I'm not sure which tune it would be...
But compared to my Stage 2 GTI, I'm sure this would just be a Stage 1 R tune of some sort

In my case, I reckon it's cos I sent the VWA bigwigs nasty emails when they said they weren't bring out a 3 door hehe

I don't know what the delay is, i paid a visit to my dealer yestarday to get my new tracking report and he has no idea why either.

So you actually saw your tracking report? And it is now pushed back? I really wonder what it is? I got my dealer to help me with a print out of the nadcom(?) and it is on track.. And now daves is pushed back too.. Sux guys

But clearly that car has more than 228kw, it did 0-100 in like 4.5 seconds, and smashed its way to 200km/h. What did your GTI get to 100 in?

Why do you think it's clearly more than a stage 1?
FLM did 4.68 with Stage 1 on only 1500km on the clock - so the car still hadn't fully losened up yet.

The Stage 2 S3 in the Tuner challenge did 0 to a REAL 100 on the difficult EC drag strip in 4.58 and in the 12.83 second 400m run hit 178.46km/h
Lets assume there is no inaccuracy in the encoding/framerate conversion/playback speed, and assume there's a 6% overread on the speedo, it's not until the 17 second mark of the video that the car reads 190km/h, and the car launched at around 2.5 seconds in. So effectively it's almost 2 seconds slower than the Stage 2 S3, and we know nothing about the environmental factors of the video etc.

So I really have no reason to believe it's anything more than just an ECU.

HAHA yep. I live like 5 mins from there. Joined the gym last tuesday. Even saw a blue one there with the 18s a while ago which you may have seen yourself.

Even still I have only seen probably about 7 since release on the road. Cant wait for mine. I got told today Im on track for 15/11 final destination - at this stage and then add a 10 days for delivery.

How is it so far?

PS JDude, your rims looked like 19s but then I checked out the headlights, and they were the silver. Weird. I remember the 18's looking tiny but yours looked sweet.

I took a photo of the screen with my phone to save him doing another print out hehe.

I've got the missus old car now, so the wait is slightly less painful. I should stop reading this bloody forum and ringing the dealer so I forget about the R until it gets here!

Yeah he printed it out for me while i was there, however sections of it are blank like the start and leave times for the bodyshop and paint shop as well as a few other areas which is strange. Was yours like that dave-?

Hey Rexman, yep you spotted well. I changed my wheels to 19" replicas. At the time i found the perfect spec car i wanted, colour and all, but just couldnt source one with 19s which i wanted as i thought the 18"s looked a little too small, so i got some replica "rs6" style rims instead. I'm happy with the switch. it made quite a big difference in looks i thought

ps: the wait is worth it, so hang in there! I've just hit over 3,500km now and its starting to loosen up really nicely now. Just when i thought at over 1000km it was starting to show its power nicely, its jumped up another notch again! I really am enjoying the car. You'll love it believe me

It's rather weird, but mine has "Handover to Production" 2 weeks before yours, but then reaches "Checkpoint 8 Handover to Sales" only 1 week before yours!
Then by the time it gets to the "Arrival at final Destination" there is only 5 days difference.

These are all only "Estimates" though, and we all need to keep that in mind! But yeah, interesting that I lose a week in the build process. Not that I mind! I've no objection to them taking their time putting my car together properly! hehe

There ain't much diff between your car and my car... 18's, RVC and RNS + Dynaudio.

I second that. At about 2000km on the clock, it's like its balls descended... got all angry sounding and much more responsive

LOL, makes me feel a bit better seeing yours is like that also. All the dates are identical to mine apart from the 'Arrival at Port of Destination' which is 5 days different due to me being in WA.

Now you mention it coreying what are your specs? you are one of the few that i don't recall seeing what you've actually ordered mentioned anywhere.

That's cause I haven't really publically stated them... although, combine that last post with Dave's and it gives you the answer

Basically everything that can be put into a 3 door except Recaros (cause I don't like 'em), and 19's (cause I wanted the silver headlights and might go aftermarket on wheels anyway).
Oh, and in rising blue too...
