Glad to hear it. I might also ask if they can fix that other common issue where it sounds a bit like an old kettle whistling (forget the name of part at fault)

I have done mine last week and it feels even better than the car was new
no more shuddering and it pulls in 2nd a lot harder. Will update after a month to see if it happens again since I drive it everyday in traffic :|

Has anyone who has had the clutch pack replaced had a recurrence of the shuddering?
No recurrence here as yet, but it has been less than 6 months. I know others had theirs done quite some time in advance of that.

DSG Shudder
Had my new clutch pack done 2 weeks ago with no red tape at DSG VW in WA. The tester brought the car out for a short dirve and recommended a clutch pack change and programe upgrade as this has become a known problem in some Golf VI. Seriously, IMO manual is best unless you are in stop start traffic.

Hope the Mk7 doesn't have this fuzzy logic adaptation system on board. I know what the road situations are and would rather adapt to the car's 'constant' values rather than try to adapt to something that's trying to adapt to me without knowing enough about the surrounding circumstances. I may be forced to drive like a granny during bad peak hour traffic but if a gap opens up I want a lot of power without hesitation to make the most of it. Fortunately SprintBooster fixes the D1/2 hesitation issue mostly (enough) for me.

Have you guys read about VW admitting problems publicly about dq200 dsgs? I have read in several news outlets that they have extended the warranty to 10 years and 160,000km in China. That's the tranny under discussion in this thread.

Those four digit codes that you use to determine exactly what repairs are done to a car are universal? As in 24v9 would be called that in other countries as well? Also are these codes found in elsawin?

24V9 is turbo actuator rod rattle. Fitting a 2mm thick washer. Is not a recall, will be done if the customer complains or at the next service. Workshop campaign to improve the product while in use.
37G7 is 7 speed DSG when not in use long term. Gears won't function properly after long term non-usage. Software update due to fault in software for controlling the valves in the Mechatronics, ie. no drive when setting off.

Well its now almost a month later and the shudder on my 77 TSi seems to be back but nowhere near as scary as when it went it but still very noticeable. The delay lag in starting off in first or second gear is literally dangerous when you need to set off quickly.
I just checked my service receipt and they carried out Recall 24V9 and Campaign 37G7. Does anyone know what these service codes translate to?
I have the feeling the DSG has learnt itself to be annoyingly laggy again. I can attest it was really nice to drive the at least the first 2 weeks.
