Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    I know. Getting paranoid about a spec of dust instead of getting out there and enjoying them on a great variety of roads.

      Hmmm don't remember saying that folk shouldn't go out and enjoy their cars.. merely that enjoyment can be extended into the care and presentation..

      If you want to leave your car in that state then fine..

            Yeah, but they wouldn't handle muddy tracks as well because they are only FWD.

            Therefore the R is a much better off-roader than a GTI.

              I never dared take my GTI off road. My R is a bit more, whatever
              My GTI was a bit more unique and stuff than the R though so

                            It's normal...this being an Aussie forum. Aussies seem to consider their cars as their other appendage.
