All jokes aside.
I truly love cars with which the one model can be adapted (especially from a factory order) to have different looks and feels. Just like on the BMW 3 series you can have "Elegant with chrome window trim and silver allows", or you can have "Sporty and black window trim and gun-metal grey alloys", you can do similar things with the R.

First time I had seen one was mine today.
Its been well worth my long wait since Jan 2010.

Is anyone going to do better than full RRP?
I know these are new and demand will be OK, but any competition between dealers just to do the business? I know dealers will say "we don't need to discount because we can just to the next person at full RRP", but surely a definite sale today is better than hoping someone calls tomorrow?
Cheers

a) sell them for $52 to get rid of them all quickly
b) sell them for $59 over the month period giving the customer a small discount and netting you a nice profit
c) sell them for $60 over the month period netting you a nice profit
Me, I'd go with option B.
Option A if you were stupid and didn't want to stay in business.
Option C if you were Austral VW.website: www.my-gti.com

I will however say, do not expect double digit % discounts like is available on the Golf GTI (i.e. You're unlikely to get 10%+ discounts). The Golf R is very aggressively priced, and more than likely does not have the margin the GTI does.
