The official I have ordered/received my new MKVI thread
Well, first of all I so very impress with the overall car. The Bluetooth and SatNav is better than my other more expensive cars. I have never owned a VW before but this car has won me over. I can actually see the cornering lights working. Seats are very very comfortable and I love the material seats, no more slipping sideways when I speed around the corner . I just love the humming noise of the exhaust. I enjoy this as much as the S2000 I used to own for 5 years.
Took me a while to get use to the manual transmission and for a moment I wished I got the dsg transmission. However once I got used to it and got out into the open roads, travelling around corners, down shifting the gears my fears about getting the manual transmission soon disappeared. This is one awesome car. Everything in it works well. It rained part of the way, sure my beautiful beast got dirty but the wiper sensor works, the wiper on the back works and the 4 wheel drive handled the wet conditions superbly.
I let my wife drive part of the way home and she was so impressed that she was happy to give her C Class to the kids. Sadly I will only have a few days to drive this beautifully crafted beast as I will hand the car to my kids over the weekend. So in the mean time I will enjoy.

I note you have the ACC were you able to put it through the paces to experience the difference...
Current Ride: MY 16 Daytona Pearl Grey Audi S3- Performance Pack 1, Sunroof and Driver assist
Yes it definitely works. In the open highway I selected comfort and it had a very comfortable feel and ride but once I switch to sport mode, the suspension tightens and the steering get stiffer. Great option to have

Was more curious about how it handled crappy city streets rather than highway conditions... I must say your pictures show me 18" rims and silver headlights looks great..
MY10 Golf Wagon. 118TSI, DSG, Vienna Leather, Panoramic Sunroof ( which is awesome) sports pack in Platinum Grey.
The sunroof rocks. I traded my MY09 Golf 118TSI 5 door with sunroof, and the new roof is amazing. Pictures to come when I go for a drive. Even though its MKV platform, it still feels like the MK VI.
My only regret is that they don't do a GTI or R version of the wagon.
MY13 Passat TDI in Icelandic Grey with Pano roof
MY13 Golf R in blue

I can't speak for ACC, but the standard suspension with 18's is very compliant over poor surfaces
(my street is 5km long, and the surface has been patched and repaired alot)
Its probably not an appropriate comparison, but it is noticably comfier than our stock 2005/9N polo was (complete with 16" steel rims),
The grip in the roughest sections, seems to be almost the same as smooth surfaces, unless you hit a decent bump that upsets the balance of the vehicle.
ACC should only improve this...
2010 Golf R - 3dr - Manual - Rising Blue - MDI - SatNav - Milltek TBE
I've got a 9N Polo GTI with stock suspension. That thing is so rough, that on our poor Sydney roads, it's killed its own rear suspension mounts and they needed to be replaced under warranty! So yeah.... comparing the Polo to the Golf probably isn't a good comparison! It's amazing the different in quality suspension that the next "cost tier" up provides!
