Yep dealer called, its been build (finished 20th April) should be sharing a bunk with yours.

Delivery early - mid July which suits me down to a tee, with the current lease.

Actually July suits me better , but was told delivery to OZ mid June , add say 2 weeks , customs , ADR , to dealer etc , hopefully get it end of June

Beaker, have you been given a VIN number? My TSI 118 was build 21st April. Wonder if mine is on the same boat?

No VIN as yet. I asked the dealer to call me with it when he had it, so I expect I'll get a call in the next few days.


Flappa - I specified a delivery date after 29th June so i don't end up paying for two leases at the same time. I assume thats why a July date was specified, I was told they'll just hold it at the dealership for a few days if it does happen to come in early. I also said up front to call a spade a spade and not to 'try to keep me happy' so he's probably hedging his bets a little with the delivery date (which is fine - I do over quote all the time to make sure I come in under what I've said)

How long did it take from the ship landing in port to pick up day for your new car?
I am trying to guess how long i hhave to go until i get my new one.

So far all i have is a best guess or 2-3 weeks for all the customs, compliancing, adr and delivery prep.

2-3 weeks is pretty much it.. Mine landed on 9-Apr and it was delivered to the dealership this week.

I think the car landed in Sydney on around 30th April. Got a call last Wednesday saying the car will be ready this week.
So it was about a month wait for the car to be ready, but mine came from Sydney, should be 2-3 weeks if it lands in the same state you bought from.
