    • Well I ordered the end of last week and was told it would be 6 Months (end of Nov).
      This was for the following:
      Golf GTI 5Door DSG White
RNS510 with Dynaudio 300W premium audio
      Media Device Interface (MDI)
      Adaptive chassis control
      Bi-xenon headlights
      Detroit 18“ alloy wheels
      Reverse Camera
Seeing as I had to wait 8 months for my 2006 GTI it's an improvement of 2 months

I was originally informed of a 6 - 7 month wait when I ordered in mid March. Then I was informed the car will be here mid to late july.

So you never know your luck.

Mirrors, yes they are, simply keep turning the mirror dial(one where you can set the mirrors) all the way passed the L, to almost a 11pm setting, and they turn on

Driving light - is that fog lights your refering to....turn lights to auto, and fog lights cant be turned on,

Edit - I am assuming you no talking about the DRL's, that is in the manual, and on here, do a search, it involved turning the indicators in a sequence, however Do a search, and you will find it all, oh, and did you now you risk of being hit during the day is reduced by 70% by having you lights on?

Other than that, read the manual! its is all in there

                    • Why would you want to turn off the DRLs anyway? In previous cars without them, I used to drive with my headlights on most of the time. It hugely improves how visible you are to other cars and cyclists, and has a negligible cost.

Mildura VW offered me the same car over the phone. but my heart is set on WHITE,DSG,ACC,LEATHER and BI XENONS....... and the only white one available is at camberwell, demo and dirty, driven by a mid 20's sales rep and no xenons for $53850.00 ...

So for a new one with xenons was a few thou less then the demo at camberwell, but a delay of 3-4 months?????
I REALLY wanted to try ACC and XENONS on my new toy and get the options I wanted so I decided to wait. The wait will not be pleasant, that is for sure! But the arrival will be a glorious, glorious day.

For me I found myself either being offered a:

                        a) Demo: Thrashed/hard life from new - no thanks. (think of the types wanting the hot hatch, just for a moment - it aint grandma johnson!)
                        b) New car in stock: Either getting stiffed on colour, or choice, or both.

I found paying for options that I didnt want/need (no less they are cool!) such as automatic parking, and sunroof, whilst not being offered at least with the options I wanted Xenons and ACC, made it a painful no-brainer.

Most of the good option combos from dealers are now already gone and its the dregs.

Also If you wait for new, you'll be getting a MY11 now.

Now Im normally not patient at all, but I was really wanting my Golf GTI exactly how I wanted cause i couldnt find a compromise on the Xenon/Acc.

Decide on If you can get by till Sept (what i was quoted) without a car, and act sooner than later!

                        Good Luck

The dealer can (or you can in VCDS I believe) but don't know why you'd bother turning them off.

Nice choice with the options, I think Bi-Xenon & ACC are probably two of the best ones and Bi-Xenons are very desirable in the second hand market too - in a few years time every car may have them so people will expect it. Look awesome aswell. I can live without leather & sunroof given they don't do much but are 'nice', just a bit of a rip for $3300 that it's half fake leather and actually think the jacky cloth is pretty sweet and has a pure GTI feel to it. The leather also creases quite easily and can look ratty after a few years so good to be careful geting in/out of the car. My 2yo R32 leather was like new still.

Good luck with the wait, good to get the combo you want.

I merged your thread in here, as it is a question about the specifications of the GTI I don't actually know the answer though, but if anyone else can help, please post here
