i got deal today fro my new GTI DSG 5 dr white with Barloworld Glen wavery with these option

my ham burger with the lot cost me $54,000
all talking and negotiation is done within half an hour. it was simple, clear, honest and effective. they might need to do some sale number just before the weekend i reckon. now i just wait and wait

Seems a lot of money for a GTI.
I got same specs but with 19's on a Golf R for only 8 grand more.

He may not have wanted To buy a golf R. $54k is not bad considering a standard GTI 5dr dsg is about $47k. I think $60k+ for a hatch is a lot.

Without corporate discount (CD) that is a fantastic price IMO. Well Done!

The negotiated price I drove away with was $45,100 which seems about right after looking around this thread.

No the dealer had it in stock and was quite keen to clear the MY11 stock so I picked it up less than a week after agreeing to a price.

I was restricted somewhat by the lack of new GTI's in stock around Perth with the ACC option. In fact this was the only one I could find so the dealer had me by the balls even if they didn't know it!

Needless to say I am not regretting paying the little bit extra for the ACC as the more I drive it the more I come to appreciate the flexibility it offers..

That's pretty good, about a yr ago I got my 2011 3dr man new for a shade over $40k. But I gOt accessories like tint, weathershields and cargo mat along with bt and mdi, but no 18" which I didn't want anyway. I didn't have corp discount.

What do you mean by what stealer lol??

oh yeh and they are throwing in the floor mats (but they probably do this for everyone anyway!)

Don't let them fool you by saying they are throwing in mats, cause GTI come standard with them.

yeh, looks like that "got you" already. here u are thinking u made out like a bandit with free mats, when they all come with the std mats. if u got the "gti" embroidered mats on the otherhand, then thats another matter.
anyway, what stealership did u go thru?
