There's people selling used ones with less options for more than that. I'm definitely doing something wrong ;P

Thats what my mate said! When he got them down to that price he nearly fell off his chair and couldn't say no to it.

pretty awesome - although being a 3dr, probably some extra discounts as they are harder to move. I got mine from GC VW and got a great price too.

Excatly! It had been sitting in the yard for 4 months now and they were keen to move it on. He is happy!!

            • Got them at the right time!

The only thing I'd get a discount on at the moment is a SAAB

                • What do you think of the following deal; $49,450 drive away in WA. 5 door, dsg, 18' wheels, leather and xenons? It is a 2011 compliance so they say they have discounted it a lot?

That's a pretty ordinary price, but ur in wa. I've seen better

                    • What should I be targeting in WA for those options i.e. dsg, xenons, 18' wheels and leather? Can someone suggest a good dealer in WA.

That is a discount of around 13 %, assuming it's metallic color (from Corey's excel sheet). Not bad at all IMO. I would say go for it.

                        Cheers,

                        • Hi Zasby and welcome aboard.

I'd spread your wings a bit and look in the Eastern States as well.

WA is only 10% of the national market, so you get a far greater choice and more competition ex east.

Bringing one over will cost you about $1400, but there are some desperate sellers out there.

I wanted a limited edition commodore a few years ago and there was only 1 in WA. Dealer refused to budge 1c on the price, so I found an identical one in SA for $5k less. I told the dealer I was buying that one instead and the WA dealer dropped $5k on the spot.

I bought my S3 in Qld, again, because the price and range was so much better than in WA

                          • Hi,

Thanks for the welcome. I did wonder if I should go over east for a deal but don't really want to wait for it to come over etc. and there is a point where more effort meets diminishing returns. Just keen to know if the deal looks okay for a runout 2011 model (i.e not a rip off)

I would expect a 2012 at that price.

Still too much for a 2012 even. I think it should be something like $47k?
