You don't even have the car yet and you want to replace them with a brighter bulb?

The bulbs that are fitted will be around 4300-4800K which is optimum for visibility and also with an output of around 3500-3800 lumens which is the maximum you can extract from them. There are no upgrades from the OEM bulbs only downgrades.




They won't and you'll get a reputation if you ask lots of questions like that. The bulb uses is an Osram, I have the specs around somewhere and will post them on my site when I find them.

Aah yes, so they are the Osram bulbs. Yeah, that's the info I have too Maverick. The Osram's in the 4300 to 4800k temp are best you can get. Changing to another is just for showoffs who want coloured light

Question about Heated Leather Seats

Purchasing a 5 door GTI MK6

Very quick questions. Does all Leather seats come with the Heated Seats and Electronic Lumber control?

Speed-dependent control

Another Question, how does the speed-dependent control work? (tried a few searches ..)

Well, it does what it says it does. You go faster, the volume increases a bit to adjust for the change in noise associated with driving faster.
There's a sensitivity setting for it too, as well as the ability to turn it off completely. How to adjust it is explained fully in the respective manual for the head unit that you'ved picked for your car.

Just a quick question in relation to GTI MK6 paint quality. anyone here know whether the body paint is of higher quality then say an Audi S3, BMW M3.. etx etc

My paint looks a bit dodgy in a few spots, has some light scratches so not sure if it was like it or a tree brushed it etc.

Suppose to have paint protection but doesn't seem very thick, probably just needs a proper detail as it should polish out.

I'd personally be surprised if there was any difference in paint quality between a Golf and an Audi A3/S3 - same car, same parent company, I'd say their processes are pretty similar. Between that and BMW M3. Well, the GTI costs $40k, and the M3 costs $160k. So for 4 times the price, I'd hope the paint quality was better

Having same problems...swirl marks all over the paint, like it wasn't buffed properly pre-delivery. When did you get yours delivered? Chances are if it was towards the end of the month, they did a half a** job getting it prepped up. Mine is only two weeks old.

My dealer is pretty good at making sure you are happy with the car (thumbs up Bill Buckle). They are going to essentially re-deliver the car for me: re-buff, detail, etc.

Do that actually buff the car during pre-delivery? I would think probably not as incorrect buffing leads to swirlmarks.
