Keen to hear what others are doing in regards to corporate/fleet discount and/or anyone's experience with "PrivateFleet"

There are essentially 3 discount levels (not counting "diplomatic")- Corporate
- Corporate PLUS
- Government
Basically it depends how many vehicles the end-user company has.Qualifying conditions vary between PASSENGER and COMMERCIAL vehicles in regards.
If the vehicle is licensed in the company name, - provided the company is already listed - no further paperwork required. If it is licensed under the drivers name, a letter is required or Novated Lease paperwork. A letter template can be obtained from your helpful VW Sales Consultant.
VERY IMPORTANT: THE DISCOUNT IS APPLICABLE IRRESPECTIVE OF HOW YOU PURCHASE THE CAR (assuming you can get the fleet letter). You do NOT have to go through a fleet company!
Here is what you should do:- check with your sales consultant if the company is already registered & what discount levels apply
- disclose to the sales consultant how the vehicle is getting licensed; if it's in your name, ask him to provide you with the letter fleet letter template
- copy & paste this on your company letter head & get the relevant manager/HR to fill it out & signed
- send it via email - PDF file - to your sales consultant (no hard copy required - unless the dealership collects them)
RE: "Private Fleet" - they are fine to deal with, but - that goes for ALL fleet companies - make sure you get exactly what you want. These companies deal with so many manufacturers, that often they are not aware of the finer details & variances of options. I always suggest to get the quote done directly by the dealership & than submit it to the fleet company. This not only ensures you have the exact details of what you want & can provide it to the fleet company, but it also fair I think to the sales person who did the test drive & consulting.
Keep in mind that some fleet companies have preferential dealerships though.
During the sales process check with the sales person if they have received the quote request from the fleet company to cross check detail accuracy!Christian Sieg
