How to track the car you have ordered?

It usually takes them a week to get the car ready....
That's why we say allow 3 weeks from the day that the car lands...

Nice pic of Faust at dock, but it must be an archive pic as Faust hasn't yet docked in Durban in current voyage enroute from Port Elizabeth. Should happen later in the day/evening!

Placed order in late July this year
Saw one in UG with silver 19's on showroom floor in 3dr and decided that that was the colour - thought everyone would be getting the Blue and promised myself NEVER to order a car with black duco again.
Saw one in Pepper Grey in Berlin in late July - SWEET
Pity VWA will not let you order from the full colour range available in Germany!!!!!!!

Saying that, there is a guy from Sydney on another VW forum who is adamant that he has ordered a Golf R in Red which isn't listed as being available in Australia.

Nice mate so I am nearly 2 months behind you. Ordered Sep 21. Waiting for that build date for starters. Hard waiting but I'm sure it will be worth the wait!

Yeah initially I was leaning towards rising blue but the minister for war finance really loved United Grey and the more I looked at pics and videos of it the more I liked it lol!

When Volkswagen unveiled the Golf R everyone was impressed. Called "the strongest Golf produced", the Golf R delivers 270 HP at 6,000 RPM and makes the 0-60mph sprint in 5.7 seconds. Not exactly a car we’d classify as a highlight on a any of our pages, but impressive enough for a Golf. Of course, not everyone thought so. Instead, Wimmer Tuning looked at the Golf R and said, "we can do better." After that, the „RED DEVIL V-Projekt“, an impressive tuning package for the Golf R, was born and brought with it an amazing 478 HP.

In order to obtain this impressive performance, the tuner had a lot of work to do. We’re talking engine electronics tuning, turbocharger tuning, changes in the piping and injection nozzles, TFSI tuning, tuning of the crank shaft, and tuning of the connecting rods. Wimmer also provided changes of the lamp coating, cylinder head, large aftercooler, air intake system, and air intake pipe. They weren’t done there either. The tuner then went on to add an additional fuel oil heater, another oil pump, and sport camshafts. Finishing it off was a completely handmade high-grade steel sports exhaust system with 84 mm in diameter, a 100 - cells sports catalyst converter, and a race sport coupling. The result in an impressive 478 HP (up from 270) and 610 NM of torque. Top speed has also been increased to 180 mph.

I believe this is not a standard color but one chosen by wimmer themselves, ie, a respray i think.

Hey I'm with you...It seems the more I stare at the map to follow her progress, the slower she goes! I reckon the 2 day delay may stretch given she still has nearly half the globe to travel!
