How to track the car you have ordered?

It will be interesting to see Silverfoxx who gets their R first, seeing as how we ordered within 2 weeks of each other! At least we can compare what info we are getting from our respective dealers. I daresay they may be on the same line and or ship... But that is being highly presumptuous.

My dealer told ma last tuesday that it would be nearly 8 weeks until we even know what build week that my Golf is scheduled for.

Like the others I was tracking mine regularly and the dates of various checkpoints changed quite a few times. My planned production date went from wk 32 to 38 and ended up being 40. No idea why but I suspect I wasn't the only one as heaps of others have been waiting an equal amount of time and are at the same point....on the same boat lol.

Well, REXman, dave- and I all ended up on the same boat. REXman and I ordered from the same dealer on the same day. dave- obviously in VIC instead of NSW. But same boat. There you go

Here is the Morning Camilla from about 2 days after just after it docked at the Port of Zeebrugge. So REXman, dave- and my new Golf R's are all in this photo! Just hidden from view

Marine Traffic is still showing her as stationary of the main car port lock (where that photo above was taken) and she hasn't shown up in any of the pictures on the webcam either!. The webcam is ~5 mins old and the Marine Traffic data claims to be updated every few minutes.

If you have another squiz, you'll see it's moved from the dock it was at, into the lock. The "departure information" on "Vessel details was set to Red (meaning departed) before it actually left but it has definitely moved.

Yes it is but mine is a 5 Door GTi DSG, not an R.

There is cool video in Caddy section about production of Caddy from the scratch, it is in Pol language but it's worth seeing it. The manufacturing process for Golf R will be very similar.
