My apologies for not agreeing with your flawed logic that you should get 10% off the contract price of your GTI because of currency movements and a further $200 because the cost of paint has dropped. Perhaps look at your own attitude before having a go at others.

From reading the forums expect 2-3 weeks after the ship has docked for you to take delivery of your new baby

Expect up to 2 weeks for customs but some cars come through in under a week.

I got a printout from my dealership today in relation to the status of the car apparently there are 27 steps that need to be taken in order for the car to get to you. I have listed them below and a rough indication of the dates for each.

Those numbers are not in order. Check the dates and you'll see that things are happening in those 23 days.
I have no idea what SGW Rebooking actually is, but as you can see, it occurs on the same day as the handover to production.

I think it's pretty obvious why there is a delay in the contract date and handing over to production....

Hey hvc01, your production/delivery timeline looks almost the same as mine, but my contract date is 2weeks before yours. When did they provide you with a VIN? Because I didn't get mine until 2 weeks ago. From memory you mentioned that you got yours pretty early on. I asked them around early to mid April, but they kept saying they don't have a VIN yet. I reckon they have been screwing around with me.
