Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hey Wedel

I thought that there were 200+ variants of the wheel locknut? Is this not the case?

Also do I see you parked down King William Road some days (prior to your new number plate)?

Glad to see other people from Adelaide!

I took the original in with me....they have a number code on them, so the boys took the code & ordered the "replacement".

      It was so easy.

No, not me parked down K.W. st. The Golf stays at home while the Polo is the "run-a-round" car.

Come out on one of the SA Kruises Phil!

By the way after this shock I should actually give credit to Solitaire's fine Service staff for all there services they have given us.

Previously they replaced a faulty air con vent under warranty with no hassles, the only thing is its still not quite fixed yet (won't close properly).
Possible leaks from turbo oil return line fitting... from turbo back in to the block.

Bought a stubby antenna from Tim of Dub Adiction at DOVW last Sunday.
Still get very good reception as I found out when changing CDs. Should have bought one for the Polo while I was at it .

Mum got the Golf back from Solitaire today

Leak was from turbo return feed pipe and was tightened as required and cleaned up.

We're to keep an eye out for any leaks.

Also the cause of LH Front A/C vent not shutting was a rod which was bent so they straightened it.

                    Am yet to test it.

                          • I work regionally at Albury-Wodonga. Every 6 weeks I travel for work to Mt Beauty in the morning and to Beechworth in the afternoon.
In the (relatively) new GTI I drove across the mountain pass between Mt Beauty and Bright - a truly fantastic drive!!!
In Sports mode it is fun going up the mountain, using the paddles going down is even better... the car just sticks to the road.
                            Ahhhh.... GTI heaven.

I don't use the rear wiper, unless it gets knocked on accidently .
