Had it Dealer fitted when we took delivery. There is also one made from the clear tape type, which we initially ordered, until I saw this metal one on this forum. Changed it straight away.

It's not cheap, but you only have to buy it once

Took it to the dealer because the engine light randomly came on - turned out to be the particle filter

On the up side, the salesman gave me his Passat to drive.. it's like driving a small african country!

Definitely worth getting. I got mine included in the deal and I think it breaks the back of my car up nicely as it's black.

I took the Golf V to Solitaire at Mile End to correct a gross imbalance of the "new" 16" Namib wheels.

After having the tyres fitted the balance was absolute rubbish, so bad that I almost had a new wheel balance at Bacchus Marsh.

I found that if I took the lock bolts off the front wheels & replaced them with ordinary bolts from the rear, it improved by 99%.

I was talking to Jason at Solitaire Service the other week, and he convinced me that they could balance them back to factory specs.

The job didn't take long, and when we went to pay, they told me there was no charge! Fantastic service!

Got up to 90 KM/H on the way to Elizabeth, everything looks 100%

nice work there bazzle, much better. thats just one of those little things that i've heard annoys the MKV drivers. obviously in the design room they forgot about the that little black rubber trim that goes on the front doors.
