Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

BLKJETTA - All up it cost about $1300. This was during the APR sale. I defintely love the car even more since the 'upgrade' as I have more power if needed and my fuel economy hasn't changed a bit! I drive approximately 150 kms daily so the car gets a good workout!

fitted an ARK Design exhaust and some aftermarket HID's over the weekend
The exhaust was cheap for stainless steel mandrel bent and sounds pretty cool, bit of crackle on downshift, seemingly louder turbo spool and a nice DSG pop! from all reports sounds tough from outside the car
The HID's i'm not so sure about, i got flashed literally 1 km away from my house on the test drive. They definitely illuminate well, however I think the RHS headlight is aimed too high, if i cant work out how to fix it i'll have to take them out. It was a good idea at the time but i dont want to be 'that guy'Last edited by Trailblazer00x; 11-03-2014, 08:55 AM.

New front rotors and pads, a set of new fuel injectors and whilst I had the inlet manifold off did a decarbon of the ports and valves. When I had reinstalled the inlet manifold I did a filter and oil change and she is running almost like new.2.0 TFSI Stage 2 Tune by DriverMotorsport

I stuck some Michelin Primacy 3's on the Jetta after getting 85,500 kms on the Primacy HP's. I certainly noticed how quiet the new tyres were and the handling is great. I was impressed with the last set (my first ever set of Michelin's) and am glad I continued with this brand. Plus it was only $820 for the four corners, so I was well pleased!

Well technically it wasn't today... more like a month ago but I got an Alpine INE-Z928Ei 8-inch head unit installed!
I wasn't going to spend so much money but after I saw it installed in an Audi I couldn't help myself. It just looked so good! I got the dash kit installed with the VW logo programmed to come up on startup so I am very happy. It looks awesome!!
Alpine Electronics of Australia
The screen and the size is probably the best feature of it, also the split screen between Navi and music works a treat too.
I got the digital radio add on also, but not sure it was worth the extra $350... time will tell as I'm assuming digital radio will be bigger in days to come.
It was installed by the guys at No Limit Electronics in South Melbourne. They did an awesome job and when I had some issues they were extremely helpful and fixed any mistakes that they made. Top job!
