          • I had a suspected fuel cut last week and as part of my investigation I checked the cam follower on the HPFP. It is not worn much at all.
Speaking to my mechanic he says they have not seen a single cam follower failure. This seems at odds with the internets, mostly US posts on the BPY engine. Australia got the BWA engine.
I'm wondering if the BWA engine is not as prone to the same cam follower issue.
            Thoughts ?

            • That follower is pretty worn, you replaced it at the prefect time. As soon as the black casing is worn through, the wear is exponential I've been told. Are you tuned? Either way. Great to replace I just did mine about 2 weeks ago and it was similar to yours after 10,000kms (Stage 2++ k04)

That was pretty much the exact design I was going for.

I thought it looked fine. Did not change it. Figured it looked like stage 1 in pic below.
I'll pick one up and change it, cheap enough at $30 anyway.

If you have the revised HPFP it should last longer than 50k. Mine was rebuilt and the newer HPFP was put in. Its done 30k already and no wear what so ever and its tuned.

                        • Successfully changed out the left rear wheel bearing this afternoon.
A fairly easy job to do, but undoing the main bolt was fun!
Such a relief to have no humming at last.

                          • I love international travel.

Got oil/air/fuel filters, cam followers, swaybar links, master window switch, new radios and all the wiring and fitting kits.

Radio is in black car, silver to do next week.

New window switch is much better
