I picked up a second hand APR downpipe a few weeks back and finally got around to the install today.
My exhaust shop did the custom pipework installing the Downpipe + 3" hurricane HFC and 3" pipe back to the existing resonator/exhaust. Then a trip to Harding Performance to have the APR software updated.
It's made a mild difference to the power, and a lower/nicer note when putting the boot in.
On Sunday Washed it , waxed it , really got to know it again , 3hrs of me and my R..enjoyed it! and driving it since has just been so good..so shiny!!
Jeloz
The Jetta had its 45000 kilometer service done at Camberwell VW,at a cost of just over 300 dollars, including wheel rotations, and car washed.
Pretty happy.
Drove my new GTI for the first time. Went in and had dinner. Watched some cr@p on tv. Then had to go and drive it again ! Last time I did that with a car it was 1983 ! Nobody told me how good it was going to feel driving one of these. Well, plenty did, I just didn't believe it. I love how even in "D" drive the DSG feels like it's changing gears like it's a manual. And that little turbo "phut". What a hoot !

Congrats on the new car mate.. Turbo's are always fun and you will never get enough of the rocket feeling.
Hell even in my TDI it manages to put a smile on my face

after failing to go on the Brisbane cruise (battery failed),
i roped a friend into doing some stuff on the golf.
replaced the air filter, fuel filter (can anyone say BLACK) and the cabin filter.
replaced a faulty brake light switch, and now my cruise always works (it used to be intermittent),
added a set of spot lights, and changed the parkers for some LED types.
on the plus side, my hot starting problem seems to have gone away. i think my old battery (the original and so about 4.5 years old)
was slowly dying for a some time. now with the new battery, it fires into life straight away, turn key & go.
ill post a separate thread about the spot lights and the led parkers shortly for those that might be interested.
had the paddle shift enabled on my TDI on tuesday - must say makes driving the car alot more enjoyable ..... brought the wheel and had it fitted some time ago... just didn't get around to getting it all enabled via vag-com .. so did it all at the same time when got the car serviced
where did you get the wheel from, and how much did it cost ?
if you don't mind me asking....
it's a mod i have been thinking about for my tractor....
